2020 3D printed action figures updates

Here are a couple of new figures I made in recent months. The Androids and the army characters are updates on figures I made a couple of years ago when I had my first 3D printer. The original figures were all 6 inch scale and had a much rougher resolution. It is fun to see 2020 updates in 4 inch format.

I wonder who are these figures in military fatigues and spacesuits anyway, hauke.

These are updated figures of some of the first action figure designs I ever did for 3D printing. At that point I did not care much for a story or anything like that. I just wanted to make designs I knew I could pull of with the printing resources I had at that time.
The army guy's name was Dan Generico. Because he was just an amalgam of some of my favorite action heroes of the 80s. He was my first ever proper 3D printed action figure.
The female android followed shortly. Again I came up with the design by necessity. The joints on a slimmer female body were easier to hide on an android character. The hairstyle, inspired by 70s and 80s anime needed not much detail and was easier to handle by the printer I used at that time. The male version was done just this year. I just remodeled the female body into a male one. Although the male android head is actually from another figure from that time and something I already had.

Here are the original models. Note the joint construction is also very out of date on those.

The human figures are nice but the androids steal the show.
