    Filmation Vintage like line

I´m making this new thread to show you the figures i´ve been working for the past months... The idea is to make a line of figures that look like if they were made in the 80´s and if they were based on filmation.

You may saw She-ra when i first posted her, but didn´t have this cape, sword, shield, and tiara casted, they were prototypes at that time. He-man still needs a shield and i´m working on it.

Sorry for the bad photos, i know i have a mess on the table, but i promisse i will take better pics.

Wow! Beautiful vintage POP She-Ra! Did you use an original crown, or make a new one?

I agree a bit on the subject of facial makeup - the lips could be a touch less wide. But wow is she pretty.

....I'm imagining you doing a Catra..... she'd be stunning

Incredible body of work! Love the He-Man & Skeletor specifically (I'm a minimalist) but the women are fantastic regardless!

Thank you! I´m already working on Catra. And in regards the makeup: I already repaint her, and yes, she looks much better, actually i was not pleased with the previus result, i had the same issue with her mouth, and after watching the photos it was even more obvious. Now i think she looks gorgeous, just let me take the photos.

    Thank you!

I love my male figures so much, but they required more investment in order to have them ready for sale as a proper figures, that is the reason i am focusing right now on the females, but i really love my males, i think they will be more succesful with buyers; but i want to have some pieces metal cast and for that i need money.

I´ll be posting photos as soon as i hve the chance, thank you all for leaving your feedback, that is very important for me.

Here is the re-paint, basically just the eyelids pale pink, repainted smaller mouth, same color, just different lighting.

And here are the photos of Maleficent:

Peekablue is a difficult character to remake because her vintage figure is so gorgeous, but I really think you've done an amazing job of combining the style of the vintage figure with her look from the show. The feathers in particular are really nicely done. Congratulations.

How many characters are you going to be making?
    Thank you!

Well i tried to accomplish, not only the sculpt but also the hair; to me that is part of getting all the look, plus the hair that i used is special for art dolls so it is a liitle bit easier to work than the commercial dolls hair, but aswell is very hard to avoid some loose hairs out of the hairstyle.

Well i´m planing on making the entire collection, both MOTU, POP, and some more, this is a collection i´m building for myself and for those who are ineterest in getting a line like this, but so far i have 8 characters to be reveal these next days.

Can't wait to see it all

Beautifully done How do these outfits close in the back of the figure? Do the regular Filmation and POP swimsuits connect in the back?

Only one of these is in early progress (Casta), some just the head.

I this case i used a plastic thread, but i´m not using it as a final product, also she is missing her sword and shield.

I´m planing on making another reveal if i´m able... We are having some electrical problems in the building and in the apartment, i have electricity where the internet modem is connected, but i don´t have in most of the apartment, i had a reveal to made today ad-hoc wth the Halloween, and it seems i won´t be able to do so, the electritian is still working though...

Yeah, that thing was affecting us in our daily life (this is a quite old building) and due i use electrical tools like dremel, or even just the lamp to take photos or even sculpting; i can not advance as i want when you don´t even have light to work.

I really hope he is able to fix the problem tonight before i leave to a halloween party, otherwise i will be making the reveal tomorrow if i have the chance (still don´t know) daylight is too dim to illuminate photos.

They are flexible and they atach just by pushing them on to the body... Not the case with She-ra wich was the first one i made and (the only one with that piece molded and most probably the one and only i made mold for). By the amount of pieces i make of each character, does not worth to spend on making molds for that specific piece; if this is a project i´ll be working just for my own pleasure, (as it seems so far) there is no need to spend on making molds of each character... Those supplies as well as the money i save by avoiding those expenses, is used on making molds for different characters heads, or pieces i need to cast in specific colors, mostly translucent and with glitter.

Also i hope that you don´t mind, and also understand (I´m talking to all of you guys and gals) that due this is a total personal project, and so far no one seems interested on buying this type of product. I don´have the need to share it, and if i´m doing it, is because there are very few of you people, that enjoy to watch it (like Disneyboy) and for those, is that i keep sharing it... So please forgive me if i don´t post quite often.

I´ll be replacing most photos with better ones.

Sorry for the long delay guys.

Well i´ve been working on some upgrades... Remember that i mentioned i don´t want visible joints, but i didn´t want the figures to be static ider, so here is was i was able to come up with:

Bendable arms and legs... Hope you like it.

Interesting. Did you use a wire inside the plastic to make it bendable?

Personally, I would have stayed with the solid plastic just because there's less chance of it breaking down over time maybe... Plus you were using magnets for the joints right? So at least the arms and legs could move a little.

Did you ever get around to making the Filmation colors Catra?

Great work as always - stay safe and healthy!
