So tell me, the Hologram tiara...is that an original one from the 80s or did you make a brand new one to fit on your figure so that it looks like the vintage one?

I can't wait to see Catra! I was so disappointed with the 80s toy versions. I think she's going to look incredible when you're finished with her. You'll really make all those colors pop. Are you going to use black hair or a dark blue hair?

Edit: I forgot to say that Maleficent also looks really cool. I love the work you did on her collar and her staff. You really have an eye for detail. It's a shame you can't get a figure off to Angelina Jolie herself - I think she would really like it!
    Thank you!

Oh yeah! i forgot to respond that question... I sculpted the tiara myself, and instead of having the plastic holders, it holds with a golden thread; i think it make it look more elegant, also allowed me to leave it transparent instead of using the hologram... The good news is the the orininal tiara must fit as well, i just donīt have one, but iīm pretty sure it must be close to size... Also due this not the original one, i was not able to make it to work as a mask, as the original one did, but again, if anyone prefers the vintage tiara, you can use it with this figure.

Catra is almost done, as well as some other characters, just need to get some materials that iīm missing right now to finish. Her hair is black, iīll be making one version dark blue, (due iīm making at least two vesions of each character), as well as fashions, unproduced and fan-made characters... I want to sell my protos to a toy company, but in order to do so, i need to invest to have at least a complete waive to offer... and wich better way to do it, than selling precisaly my work in order to finish this project.

Thank you! At the end the person that made the commision, did not wanted to pay, she told me didnīt have the money, so she is on ebay right now.

Cool! It's neat that you went through so much effort to recreate the vintage tiara. I wouldn't worry about it not also being a "mask"...I don't think many fans used it as one LOL.

I'm not sure that you could use these figures, beautiful as they are, to pitch a toy manufacturer to make a POP line, since Mattel owns all that. They might give you a job as a sculptor though!

Can't wait to see Catra whenever she's done!

Then i need to offered them to Mattel; because i consider myself a huge PoP fan and a 12" line is not appealing for me. I donīt collect Barbie dolls, (i donīt have the space), and although they are really beautifull, they donīt hold the caracteristics that make the vintage line unique.

Wow! Great colours! And her hair looks fantastic. Are you a hair stylist? LOL you always seem to know how to make their hair look terrific.

Peekablue is a difficult character to remake because her vintage figure is so gorgeous, but I really think you've done an amazing job of combining the style of the vintage figure with her look from the show. The feathers in particular are really nicely done. Congratulations.

How many characters are you going to be making?

    Thank you!

Well i tried to accomplish, not only the sculpt but also the hair; to me that is part of getting all the look, plus the hair that i used is special for art dolls so it is a liitle bit easier to work than the commercial dolls hair, but aswell is very hard to avoid some loose hairs out of the hairstyle.

Well iīm planing on making the entire collection, both MOTU, POP, and some more, this is a collection iīm building for myself and for those who are ineterest in getting a line like this, but so far i have 8 characters to be reveal these next days.

Beautifully done How do these outfits close in the back of the figure? Do the regular Filmation and POP swimsuits connect in the back?

Only one of these is in early progress (Casta), some just the head.

I this case i used a plastic thread, but iīm not using it as a final product, also she is missing her sword and shield.

Iīm planing on making another reveal if iīm able... We are having some electrical problems in the building and in the apartment, i have electricity where the internet modem is connected, but i donīt have in most of the apartment, i had a reveal to made today ad-hoc wth the Halloween, and it seems i wonīt be able to do so, the electritian is still working though...

Yeah, that thing was affecting us in our daily life (this is a quite old building) and due i use electrical tools like dremel, or even just the lamp to take photos or even sculpting; i can not advance as i want when you donīt even have light to work.

I really hope he is able to fix the problem tonight before i leave to a halloween party, otherwise i will be making the reveal tomorrow if i have the chance (still donīt know) daylight is too dim to illuminate photos.

They are flexible and they atach just by pushing them on to the body... Not the case with She-ra wich was the first one i made and (the only one with that piece molded and most probably the one and only i made mold for). By the amount of pieces i make of each character, does not worth to spend on making molds for that specific piece; if this is a project iīll be working just for my own pleasure, (as it seems so far) there is no need to spend on making molds of each character... Those supplies as well as the money i save by avoiding those expenses, is used on making molds for different characters heads, or pieces i need to cast in specific colors, mostly translucent and with glitter.

Also i hope that you donīt mind, and also understand (Iīm talking to all of you guys and gals) that due this is a total personal project, and so far no one seems interested on buying this type of product. I donīhave the need to share it, and if iīm doing it, is because there are very few of you people, that enjoy to watch it (like Disneyboy) and for those, is that i keep sharing it... So please forgive me if i donīt post quite often.

Iīll be replacing most photos with better ones.

I found the perfect horse to make Swiftwind
Here is a pic with She-ra so you can have an idea of the scale:

Plus he walks, and if it wasnīt enough: a light up carriage, and everything in perfect scale for both: the original vintage line and mine.

I have this set available if some one is interest.
