Vintage Group Custom Showcase 01: Battle Ram Man

We proudly present the brainchild of the mighty Tyke, the first edition of the vintage Group Custom Showcase!

    A little history:
A while ago Tyke and e-man (me) were working on the same custom at the same time. The result was Custar and we had a blast comparing the two figures, seeing how we both approached the very same character completely different. 'Let's do that again', Tyke said and at more or less the same time Matty introduced the final versions of the 'Fighting Foe Men'. Pretty much right after that we started brainstorming what other Fighting Foe Men could be missing from the line-up. That's what triggered the next project and Tyke invited others to join in. So without further ado, we proudly present:

For this very first vintage custom showcase it was decided that the missing 'Fighting Foe Man' would be the character whose face can be seen on the back of the Battle Ram vehicle. We decided to call him Battle Ram Man.

MasterEnglish and MotuMulder decided to join in and here are the entries:

    MasterEnglish' Battle Ram Man:

    MotuMulder's Battle Ram Man:

    Tyke's Battle Ram Man:

    e-man's Battle Ram Man:

Gentlemen, feel free to post more pictures of your customs underneath and feel free to tell a little bit more about your version of Battle Ram Man.

This is the first edition of this vintage group custom showcase. Next up will be a figure based on Bashasaurus. Deadline in 2 months (last day of April). If anybody wants to join in, feel free! Drop Tyke and/or me a PM for more details.

thanks guys! I'll be the first to give different angles of my custom:

Those are Roboto arms with FFHeMan hands, BlastAttack legs and Roboto torso, Robot head turned around, sculpted face-features and cast spear-head.

This was, and will continue to be a great project to take part of! I haven't done too many vintage customs to date, and I feel very privileged to take part in such an awesome and original idea.
For mine, the recipe is, Mer Man Head with lots o sculpting, standard issue torso, Snake Face crotch, Blast Attack Arms & legs, modified Stinkor armor with Battle Ram missile face, Dragstor engine, 200X Stratos hoses, New Adventures Slush Head Axe weapon (which I thought worked well as a harpoon gun) and lots of magnets.
Here is my take on this character:
Originally designed as an underwater to land vehicle, Battle Ram was developed by the amphibious Battle Ram Man to counter undersea attacks by Mer Man and his evil minions. In his underwater cavern lab, Battle Ram Man was ambushed and defeated by Merman and his army. Well hidden and only known to few, the schematics for Water Ram were later recovered and updated by Man At Arms to be used as mainly an air assault vehicle. Today, Battle Ram Man's portrait remains on the rear of every vehicle produced, forever to remain a tribute to the fallen warrior who gave the Masters one of their most formidable and frequently used assault vehicles.
