    touching up Point Dread/Castle Grayskull

Paint wear is a very common problem with this old toy, no doubt with Gtrayskull as well, and it was likely sprayed on in layers at the factory. With the exception of stripping off the paint and redoing all of it with spraypaint or an airbrush, is it possible to touch up spots like this by hand?

I thought I'd experiment a bit, using something similar to dry brushing only blotting the paint on with the end of a flat soft brush. This worked reasonably well, it's not a perfect touch-up but the original paints were not very even to start with so it at least blends in and covers the worn spots. I mixed a matching shade of green and blotted on, then went over it with black. It helps to mix a small amount of green into the black when doing the top blotting layer.

    Blotting is a great idea.
