Why, thank-you, my lady - that is very kind (and most discerning!) of you.

I am very proud to be of Breton race, and of our lovely land, surrounded by the sea. Both Quimper and Roscoff are very pleasant towns to visit.

I hope that you will have the chance to return and see more of the country in the future.

And I hope also that Frosta-Land is not too cold at present...

    Alan.

Trugarez vaz, Lorindol! Komz a rez brezhoneg?

That is very kind of you; and I really did not expect anyone here to know any of the Breton tongue!

And you are right; the Breton land is filled with history and with many, many myths and legends too. Far more than our neighbours the French.

I see that this is an interest of yours – as it is with me. I too like the mythologies of fantasy worlds and that is in part why I am here on this site.

I should like to know more about the research that you are doing. It sounds really interesting and unusual.

Oh, no - only a few words, I'm afraid. The similarities to Cornish and Welsh are still striking, though - even after an enforced separation of 1,500 years. Mythology is very much my field of study - and I am aware of some aspects of Armorican legend; not least its kinship with that of the Brythonic peoples of the western United Kingdom.

The research I am doing here is to do with the evolution of created mythologies - such as MoTU - and their impact on contemporary culture; to what extent are these the new folklore? that is my quest here.

I will PM you, though, to continue this.

Thank you, Lorindol. I will look forward to your message as I am sure we have lots to discuss about mythology, both in our world and in Motu!

We Bretons are indeed closely related to the Cornish and Welsh - and our tongues reflect that shared lineage.

    Alan.
