As a Gmail user I'm glad to finally have a chance to be a part of He-Man.org. I was one of the first MotU fans I would say. My love affair with He-Man began around 1981 when the action figures first hit the shelves in my area. I was very disappointed when the cartoon came out because it was so different from the mini comics I was reading over and over. But I soon fell in love with Prince Adam and the transformation into He-Man. I also accepted Orko and his childish tendencies after a episode or two. I collected all the action figure through the early 80's. I would go on to have a huge collection as a child. Once I reached my teens I decided to give my collection to my cousin who was less fortunate than I was. It took him about a month to destroy all of them which was kind of disappointing for me.
Anyway fast forward to the 200x series. I was getting ready for work one morning and flipping through channels and all of a sudden I stumbled onto the new cartoon. It was the Two-Bad episode and I was excited like I was a kid again. I could only watch half of the episodes because I had to leave for work. I ended up watching the first fifteen minutes of a bunch of them. Later I would go on to buy them all on DVD including the entire original series from 1983-84. I even got a box set of the New Adventures of He-Man but I didn't really like it that much.
In late 2011 I bought my house and decided I wanted to start collecting MotU again. I ended up making a shrine for MotU in a room of my house. I painted the walls like Castle Grayskull and have the room filled with lots of MotU awesomeness. At first I had made up my mind I was only going to get the action figures I had as a kid but then Matty Collector put a bunch of the Classics line out at Big Lots so I cleared the shelf. Now I basically look to get anything He-Man I can find including custom stuff. One thing that really saddened me however was that when I ordered my Castle Grayskull Classics a year before it was released I was unable to participate in the fan voting for the characters on the box. I think they did that on this website but I'm not sure since I couldn't gain access to this site since I didn't have a secure email.
Why didn't I have a secure email you asked? One downfall about moving into my home is that the internet provider has capped the service my area. That means I can't get service until someone cancels their service. So just over two years in my home and still no internet. My wife likes to visit her parents every weekend so I use some of that time to get online. That's really the only time I'm ever online so if someone sends me a message or asks me a question it will be a week before I respond. Anyway I hope I did this post the way I was supposed to. Sorry if it was long winded but I'm so happy to be here even if it is limited with gmail.
