I'm new. Some info about myself. I'm from the Netherlands and have been a fan of the toys since day one when we had the cartoon overhere.
I remember watching MOTU cartoons on Superchannel (iirc) every saturday morning. I must have been about 4 or 5 when my brother (5 years older) wanted to go to a local toystore and buy a Webstor toy using his pocketmoney. I went along and decied on a Man-E-Faces (dont have a clue why I would).
My second one was Clawful, which I liked a lot and still do and third was Jitsu, when my brother bought Fisto. Also bought a Kobra Khan during the last 15 minutes before shops would close on our way to a holiday cottage in the woods. Was the only toy I brought on that holiday and it was all I needed.
My brother actually got a third one, Ram Man, which I picked from the discount shelves when I was at the toyshop with my moms and got myself a Mekaneck. After that got the Panthor figure as a birthday gift in 85 or 86. Got a Sy-Klone in 87 from a Danish schoolmate at my birthday party and also got Dragon Blaster Skeletor the same year.
The years after I went for mainly Evil Horde figures: Grizzlor, Hordak, Leech (one of my favorites), Modulok. Later on I got Stinkor from my Granny and Two Bad for Xmas. Hurricane Hordak was the last one I got from the stores, because around that time they switched to the newer lines all of a sudden, which I disliked a lot. I did get a Crocobite and Tuskor from a small toyshop in a village later on somewhere and bought Whiplash second hand. That was my last one in those eralieer years as a kid.
I also remember not sticking to the predefined good guy/bad guy roles at all. I think my squads were divided as follows:
Good:
Clawful (leader)
Sy-Klone
Jitsu
Webstor
Whiplash
Hordak
Grizzlor
Leech
Kobra Khan
Bad:
Heman
Modulok
Man-E-Faces
Ram Man
Mekaneck
Two-Bad
Stinkor
Fisto
Skeletor
