RESULTS from Round 2, Week 2 of the 2016 MOTUC Character Selection Playoffs!

Thank you to everyone who has voted and be sure to vote in the Round 3 polls! The list is narrowing down!

**Please note:
With the reveal of Filmation Hordak and Imp for the 2014 SDCC exclusive, Round 3 will see some replacements. Hordak has been replaced with King Ahgo, the #11 character in that same poll. And Imp has been replaced with Bould-Or, the #11 character in that same poll.

407 fans voted in poll 5, 405 in poll 6, 395 in poll 7, and 395 in poll 8. The results are listed below, ranked from most popular at the top to least popular at the bottom. The top 10 from each poll goes on to Round 3.

Round Two begins! Nearly 720 characters were reduced to 240 after Round 1. Now they battle it out in Round 2 for the next top positions. There will be two weeks with four polls each week. There are 30 characters in each poll and the top 10 from each poll moves on! Who will make it to Round 3?!? You decide!

We got some names on the list this week, without a picture on the other list.

I still gave them the benefit of the doubt and ranked them higher than any meteorb or 1/2 sized character. I can't believe some of the characters that made it out of the first round.

I find it hard to believe that anyone actually likes Songster. I think people are just trying to keep some of these characters in the running as a joke.

Isn't Grayback just the same design used for the listed Sand Demon? I like the design but it showed up several times on several different episodes as different summoned sand or rock creatures.

Yes, they share the same tooling, much in the same way many of the horses in this poll do. Graybock is a separate original character featured in an episode of the original cartoon series. He deserves the same consideration as Sand Demons or any other character.

For some reason, these polls don't seem anywhere near as stacked as last weeks polls to me.

Interesting. I was feeling like I was having to leave alot of characters I like out of my own Top 10. And some of these polls definitely felt heavy duty for me personally - Poll 6 with Veena, Lizard Man, mini comic Garn and Colonel Blast - those are all huge wants of mine. And Poll 7 - I absolutely want every single character on my top 10 list as a figure in my collection.

Interesting that an NA character led 3 of the 4 polls for me. But it coincided with my preferences design wise. From New Adventures my 4 favorite character designs are Sagitar, Tuskador, Lizorr and Staghorn and all of them but Sagitar were in their own poll. Lots of really nice stuff. This is the first time where when picking between two characters to put into my top 10 I picked the one that I thought other people would support less - choosing Lord Byron over Lady Slither, for example.
