Just wanted to try and gauge any interest in having a little group/club that wanted to go through the New Adventures of He-Man series episode by episode and have an ongoing discussion throughout the series. Figured it would be a nice distraction for some with all that's going on with MOTUC, and could be really enjoyable for those that haven't gone through the series yet since buying it years ago like myself! I figured we could maybe do 5 episodes a week and you could post and update your thoughts on each episode each week.

Hopefully there could be some others that would like to join!

Brilliant idea!! I bought em' cause they were $13 bucks for the pair and I wanted the extras (and to complete the cool spine art). It's the only incarnation I haven't watched. This would be great motivation to do so. Five a week sound just right. Lets do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd love to do this, it's been awhile since I rewatched the series, but I just don't have the time to commit to 5 episodes a week. In fact at the minute I'd probably end up falling behind with even one episode a week

Awesome! Glad to see some more interest here. I'd say let word get around a little more and maybe we could start in August? Maybe 3 episodes a week so everyone can find some time, even if things get busy.

I'll join, I bought the NA episodes years ago and have never watched them. While I don't consider myself a fan of NA, maybe I just never gave it a proper chance.

If you guys wanted to do two episodes a week, I might join in...but honestly, Master Sebrian creeps me out so much, I doubt I could handle more exposure to him than that.

As the creator of NA and writer of 38 episodes, I think my being biased falls into a special category.

It's been years since I watched it and I cringed doing it. MOTUC though has given me a new outlook on the series and I think a second attempt will make me appreciate it better. Heck, many of the Filmation episodes are pretty bad too.

So what's the schedule and when do we start? Maybe we should come up with some guidelines for the club so we can get started.

We could have our discussions in this thread, or can have one for each episode so people can post their comments when they're done watching it. I would vote for episode threads so it'll be easier to keep track of episodes.

I've seen them all more than once, but it would be neat to go through in order, and have discussion with fellow fans (or otherwise...lol.) My 5-year old twin daughters watch all the cartoons with me too, so maybe I could get them engaged in this "club" as well, and share with you all any ideas/thoughts they might have?

I think 3-4 episodes per week is plenty IMO.

Aw, please don't. Getting to watch the series then talk about it with the writer/creator weekly would be a real treat to some of us.

Yes! A kids perspective would be neat to hear. They see things so differently, I would be interested in their take. It is a kids show afterall.
