Good afternoon, thanks for letting me join the group! I have been content to a fan and lurker for years, but recently while visiting my mother's place in Florida I unearthed my childhood collection and will probably be needing help figuring out what to do with parts of it, so I figured it was time to finally join up! Just like the last new guy posted there is a Mexico He-Man in my figure pile too. I have a feeling that finding this box of figures might turn me from a passive collector into a man obsessed!
About me, I live most of the year in Salem, Massachusetts. My occupation, I am the owner of a historic/supernatural walking tour company in that town, and before that traveled with a carnival freak show. Seriously, it was the best job ever. I am lucky to have an incredible fiancee who accepts and encourages my weird life.
My connection to He-Man and the Masters of the Universe- I was born in 1982 so He-Man was always there! One of my earliest memories is getting the Battle Armor Skeletor and Panthor set as a gift, I still have them, they are battered now, but still a treasured part of the collection. As much as I loved the figures, for me the minicomics and the art were always the best part, I could pour over the comics and card back art for hours. I enjoy the nostalgia and the memories connected with Masters of the Universe and my childhood, but far more interesting is the art, and creativity that is evident in the whole property. I just wish once they could have let Skeletor win, him and his evil warriors always were and still are my favorites.
