1/6 scale MOTU toy line coming from Mondo, and prints & posters

After getting the standard reply everyone is getting I sent another message asking for more details about the options and stressing that I had TWO that needed replacing, and asking about how to get the $50 voucher. I got this reply back

We are actively inspecting our current replacement and safety stock, and we will begin fulfilling replacement requests in the order they were received as soon as possible. You will either receive an order confirmation this month or in March depending on how much we have to work with. We have also noted that you require 2 replacements.

I *think* they are fixing it because we have to wait for the fix to come. If they had the replacements already we wouldn't be waiting. So they are probably making new pieces, and why would they just make the same faulty ones? Assumptions on my part though.

So, maybe I’m reading into it but, that email reply sounds like they are just replacing people’s broken ones with stock already deemed replacement and safety stock and just inspecting them for damage. Doesn’t sound promising.

^^^This is what I was thinking... if it's a widespread issue, then wouldn't the replacement and safety stock be affected too?

Yeah, I don’t know what to do. I guess I’ll keep tweaking him and see if he breaks. Or glue his waist together. Lol

So I got my 2 He-Man figures last week and finally got to inspect both figures. As far as the waist issue, they both turned out well. One of them pops out sometimes when twisting it, but I find it fits back snug when I plug it back. One of my figures came with 2 neutral portraits, so I'm missing an angry face. Holy ish those joints were tight. I think I might have cracked the left fist on one figure when trying to figure out the wrist articulation. I was afraid I was gonna break the figures trying to figure out how the joints bend, even after using the hair dryer. Overall, satisfied with how he turned out, but gonna email Mondo about getting that angry face portrait. And speaking about getting some head from Mondo, is everyone been receiving their She-Ra heads with the noise not smooshed? I thought I would have received that before my He-Man figures arrived.

U.K. here and after I paid my bail fee (£60 import taxes and duty) I'm 10 days later and still waiting on dhl, come back to the thread which I last checked before deluxe heman began shipping.,
And I see ALL the problems with the waist

I'm glad I'm seeing this before it arrived, watched a few videos now and also the fix someone posted using the black tube and heat gun..

I 3d printed in resin a mondo sized heman over a period of months leading up to Christmas 2021 and have a lot of experience with ball peg joints like this, even on the waist.

Another quick fix similar to the black tubing and heat gun idea would be some black electrical tape, 1 layer around the ball, this would then pretty much do the same as that fix without much effort or cost.
When mine eventually arrives will be testing properly and contacting support of necessary, but most people have black electrical tape around the house and is a quick temp fix to help secure ball joints from my own experience with resign ball joints where there is no flex in the material

Sounds like the ball peg needed a redesign and to be made of a slightly more rubbery material to allow it to flex and grip inside the torso..

Although taking this picture just now he tried to commit suicide off the table, caught him and he landed on the rug, but now have a neck ball peg to replace.. lol

And speaking about getting some head from Mondo, is everyone been receiving their She-Ra heads with the noise not smooshed? I thought I would have received that before my He-Man figures arrived.

I read it as if you get a confirmation in January, you get existing stock. Otherwise you have to wait in March for the newly created pieces to come.

Ahhh... I saw on Facebook that some people got their head already, so I assumed they were all shipping out already

Yep got my She-Ra head a little over two weeks ago. Didn't jump on the Trap-Jaw train as I have pretty much quit Mondo after getting She-Ra. The increase in price of the figures mixed with the questionable QC issues just made my mind up for me.

I can understand that. I've had some QC issues with Mondo, but every time they've gone above and beyond to make it right. Trap Jaw is my favorite character so this was an instant buy for me. He looks amazing. This will be my 5th Mondo figure. I've been waiting for him ever since they first announced the Mondo line, which was what 9 years ago? 2016ish? I'm so exicted to see Florians package art revealed.

They do go extremely above and beyond, so yes you are absolutely correct about that. There just shouldn't be these issues for them to have to go above and beyond for lol. Trap Jaw is my favorite character too, so I had to preorder him! I might be out after him and the new Skeletor though... just getting too expensive. I'm glad the forum is back, albeit temporarily!

Yup, it should be perfect out the box. I'm pretty good about not buying stuff that I feel is overpriced or bad quality. I refuse to give S7 another dime of my money, but Mondo hasn't lost me yet. If it wasn't for their customer service I'd have stopped collecting their figures.

I imagine the widespread issues with He-Man and She-Ra had to have been pretty costly for them. They've said they are addressing QC issues so I'm still in for at least a few more figures.

I really just want He-Main & the "main" bad guys from Mondo. I've got He-Man, Skeletor/Keldor, and Merman.... So after Trap Jaw, Beast Man, and Evil Lyn I'll be out. At least that's what I'm telling myself. I would love to get Panthor, but that price tag is brutal. I think if it were around $350ish I'd bite. $500 feels overpriced to me. That's where I gotta back out.
