i am wondering the same thing too.

The right thing for Mattel to do is to issue (via e-mail) vouchers to all subscribers for the torso. They shouldn't view this as an isolated incident as I can see more customers to follow through the same way shown in the BBB link.

we all know they don't wanna do the right thing cuz they are losing money. but if enough customers filed a complaint, they might have no choice but to offer the voucher to every sub holders.

You're right, why wait for an answer that won't come unless action is taken. Mattel needs to know that they are in the wrong and hopefully pressure from us through the BBB, will yield mass results for all subscribers.

Whether we were or not charged for the Torso already is an issue we have gone back and forth on until the cows came home. Apparently though, the cows are coming home.

The BBB saw a problem and Mattel has in at least one case made things right. If you want your torso(s) I suggest you consider filing a claim as well.

And yet your better companies understand that it costs less to give out a few $45 gift certificates than have the bad mark on their name. That's why at least one claim has been paid out and why they may well pay out the rest of them.

It would be bad business for a billion-dollar company to not try to fix this and $45 per sub is actually a cheap price to pay for this kind of thing.

And you know something I did not subscribe for reasons I did not want to be stuck with overpriced useless repaints, but I hope all you guys and gals that did subscribe get a 45 dollar voucher for each and every single subscription you all have!! You deserve it! And # first world problems......? Ok well if it's such a "base thing" for us over privileged Americans to want what we signed up for", lets tell the Mattel CEO that when he can't get a reservation at his favorite restaurant, (snakely) #first world problems and see how he likes it. Those kind of answers drive me nuts. In this country it's big business vs consumers, not on the side of the consumers, most would do well to remember that. Take Hasbro for example their prices go up but their product quality keeps going down. However Americans still buy it, case in point Force Friday, everything sold out in minutes. Some may be speculating scalpers, but they still bought it. No one should ever take no for an answer especially when they are being duped out of their money.

By responding to this claim, Mattel admits they are in the wrong. So, they should refund everyone that bought a sub, not just the ones that file a complaint trough BBB. (but let's hope it's a start)

That was quick! The BBB has already assigned me a case # and forwarded the complaint to Mattel! When I filled out the form last night they said that step might take up to 30 days.

Read the complaint; he was not reimbursed, he was given a voucher because he was promised an item he was now not going to receive as part of the sub: it's basically the argument most folks here have been making since this debacle started. This is the sort of solution we should have had from the start.

Got my reply today too. Basically they're forcing Mattel into to not make us pay for the extra figure. Which is what should have happened from the start.

I think this BBB filing/Mattel voucher is something that deserves it's own thread.

I hope Mattel will take steps to get vouchers to every 2015 Club Eternia subscriber. I would like to avoid filing a complaint, but if Mattel doesn't make it right soon, I will open a complaint. I have quite a few 2015 subs and those vouchers would at least pay for the "new" Hssss figures I'd need to pay for to get the torsos I was promised.

It is really too bad that Mattel just doesn't give it to use free. I know they were making a big fuss that this was better than it just in a poly bag but it's costing them way more this way.
I will be opening a case with the BBB in a few days as well.

I'm a subscriber and have been very upset about this whole situation. I tried to file a complaint (as, unfortunately, that seems to be the only way to get some sort of a resolution), but I can't. It goes to a page to file a complaint against MattyCollector with "continue" on the bottom of the page. After clicking it, it thinks a long time and then a box on the next page says "The operation timed out." I've tried this on Chrome, Internet Explorer and my cell phone. *shrugs* I don't know how you guys are getting it to work.
