How we got a head pack now

I was getting a bunch of PMs on what is a pretty easy quick answer (why a 200x head pack was not offered earlier). Basiclally new management. MOTUC has had 4 major management changes (the most recent coming 1 week before I resigned and is Definately to thank for new policy showing full line up and things like that!).

The previous management groups was not supportive of including as much 200x as later managements. We were always fighting to get something like this in and now was when it finally came together.

Hope that helps. This pretty much is wrapping up what I worked on. Going forward not much I can comment on as I never even got to ore production on this month's figs and am seeing them for the first time as a subscriber (which is way cool!)

Enjoy the collection and may it keep expanding!

Personaly I would like to see more head packs. I would like to see a better head, then what we got for Jitsu. witch was disproportionly, small for his body. I know we got the extra head from ninjor, AKA ninja warrior. but it did not match his skin tone Eldor, is another example. with his monky lip mishap, wrinkle?

this is just what I can think of on the top of my head but im sure theres more maybe alt head sculpt of Prince Adam, not to mention Fakor. many of the figs, in the MOTUC line up could benefit from alt head sculpts. exspecialy figs that have there own races, and could make for custom charectors.

I may be late to the party or just completely off-base, but is that why 200X influence was okay but no straight-up 200X style figures, then no 200X influence at all, and now a devoted 200X mini-sub?

The different management teams decided how much to include?

This is something I have STRONGLY suspected for years. Having worked at a few different corporations (with varying levels of dysfunction) I've seen my share of upper management influence and decisions based on nothing more than office politics and/or someone with enough clout having an idea in their head that you can't dissuade them from (say an idea like Hyper Anime Detail is what caused the 200x line to fail). So an interesting insight and slight confirmation for my theory.

That's what I figured, and I'm thrilled! All 6 of those heads are awesome! I'm loving all the 200x we are seeing this year!

I could see this. The 200X style was probably a fresh wound to the management at the start of classics.

The subsequent managements that followed probably didn't suffer as 200X tanked (because they weren't around), so they had a more supportive attitude towards that era.

I'm sure you've seen my thread suggesting a "Shouting Head pack."

I look forward to checking out the 200x headpack. Naturally, DR decided not to ship my order until the 18th this month because.... they're terrible.

I just wish the characters in the 200x headpack were more accessible. Roboto, for one, really needs a new release and not just a head.

Yeah it had me scratching my head too. Straightforward and informative post from TG though. I wasn't a 200X fan, but I always really liked the inclusion of a 200X head for its army building enabling. I'll be using the Clawful and Buzz-Off heads on their respective armies when the packs arrive. Of course the 'real' Clawful and Buzz-Off will retain their vintage looks.

I wondered at first, but I see what he means. Think of it this way: "How (come we are getting) a head pack now?" or "How (is it that we are getting) a head pack now?"
"Anybody want to buy a used bolo?"

Which again, the reasoning about not doing it being "Too Morbid" was stupid, seeing that this line is an Adult Collector Oriented, Online Only (via first party) Toyline. ESPECIALLY seeing a Mass Marketed Retail Toy Line Aimed at YOUNG GIRLS received a bunch of Disembodied parts...

It's "Too Morbid" for Adults but OK for Little Girls!?
With that said, I'm glad the new teams have seen the light and are giving us cool things like the Headpack... Can't wait to get mine.

I'd like to see a head pack with the Alcala Skeletor head and the "vintage inspired" He-Man head both in it. I'd love for all my Skeletors and He-Man figures to have these two heads.

    Make it so.

Scott are you able to tell us if any of the heads were sculpted specifically for this head pack or like the Grizzlor head were they sculpted with the original figure but had to be cut from the figures release?
    Thanks.

I feel like Snout Spouts head should of been packed in elsewhere for free since his original release was so messed up. (We shouldn't have to pay for that.)
But, the pack is awesome! Now I have my fingers crossed that we get a 200X Roboto body to go with that awesome head.

Buzz Off and Grizzlor were existing, the others were sculpted for this pack. I had been trying to do this pack for YEARS! (Or at least find a way to release these heads).

I think the heads overall are really great, but I have to question the Draego-Man head. He just doesn't look as imposing as his vintage head.

Wait, a brand manager would personally unearth plastic ore from the plastic mines for action figures?

While I understand your point - you are using Monster High as an example there - four of their main characters are undead! Morbid is very much part of their thing .
