The stories in that book are practically season 3 of the cartoon! Everyone who worked on them were Filmation staff members.

Now this is an awesome MOTU book!

Definitely! She's helped inform people about the newspaper strips for years. So it's great to see Dark Horse collect it. It's one of those last, great vintage stories for MOTU that so few of us have read.

Heck, in my case, I never even saw! I had no clue about this as a kid.

I'm right there with a lot of you....NEVER knew about these growing up. I only just recently learned there were comic strips when I read it in the Art of MOTU book from Dark Horse.

I just placed my pre-order and cannot wait to dive in for some fresh all new vintage stories. Will be interesting to see how the MOTU lore will differ from the toyline, cartoon, minicomics, and Marvel/DC comics in this book.

I also never knew about the comic strip as a kid; I only learned about it after someone posted about the Stripper's Guide blog entry. I've wanted to read the MOTU comic strip for a long while now, what little I've seen about of the strip seems like it was at least reasonably well done.

-Will the Sundays be in color?

-Were the rights to reprint the strip tangled at all? From the Stripper's Guide blog, I knew that the McNaught Syndicate distributed the MOTU strip in the US and the company's Wiki article records it going out of business in 1989. And when companies go out of business sometimes it gets murky determining who succeeds in controlling the rights the defunct company held.

Man, that website did not speak fondly of motu. The comments are especially harsh below the article.
