Keep in mind, there are other masks throughout the game that are nods to other Zelda entries... and they have special uses as well!
I actually skipped a whole bunch of gaming consoles as a kid ... so while I played borrowed a friend's Zelda 2 to play on my NES, I didn't get another gaming console until the PS2 and GameCube. I played no other Zelda titles until Twilight Princess, and even then only for a little bit. I did play some of Phantom Hourglass, but it seemed like such a long time ago. So my knowledge of Zelda lore is pretty much non-existent.

But BotW is, in my opinion, a much better game. I got the Korok Mask now, thanks for the tip!

Looks like Dragon's Dogma is only 10 bucks on Switch e-shops.

Oh, and Dragon's Dogma 2 announced this week

    SPLATOON 3 has landed!!

I have already sunk an unhealthy amount of time into the game because it's like seeing a good friend after a long hiatus.

The quality of life improvements are a welcome addition, and the whole experience just feels so streamlined. Nintendo has perfected the Splatoon formula.

Online is buttery-smooth, and the lobbies make the already short wait between matches feel even shorter!

All of the extra content added to the hub world give you a lot to do when you're not out battling in turf wars or the single-player mode...

Speaking of the single-player mode, I haven't experienced much of it yet (I was jonsein to jump right back into multiplayer matches) but, what I played was much more expansive than Splatoon 2 and looks to have a lot more freedom/variety of missions as well!

I don't know haw Nintendo does it... but, Splatoon is an IP that has quickly earned it's place among other Nintendo's greats like Mario, DK, Metroid, Zelda, Pikmin, and Kirby.

I cannot recommend this game enough... it is so much fun to play!!

Yeah, Nintendo announced the change to Spring of 2023 a while ago.

I certainly don't mind the wait because Splatoon 3 (and God of War Ragnarok) will be occupying most of my free time through the holidays.

I was a little upset that the teaser for Tears of the Kingdom was so brief. After all this time, we have earned a full trailer at least!

I haven't even discovered all of the shrines in BOTW yet!

It's been around six months since I last played the game ... just too lazy.

Blasphemy!! It should be your only enjoyment in life to find those last shrines and claim your prize!

I freaking loved BOTW. It was all I did for months and was sad when I knew the end was near.

I am probably the laziest person I know of LOL. After work and all of the housework is done, I got almost no brain cells left and can't be bothered. Plus because I spend most of my waking hours in front of a computer screen (working in IT does that to you...), I am trying to actively not look at anything to do with electronics.

But during the times that I have played BOTW, I would often just explore the world without any real purpose in mind. I find the game so beautiful, I enjoy walking, running, and climbing around for the sake of it.

This is one of my favorite parts of the game. Not only that there's this huge world you can navigate around but also that there's little stuff to find in ever nook and cranny. It makes the explorations even more fun.

Cannot wait for the sequel. I'm disappointed to not get it before Christmas but my birthday is in May so that works out well

Here is a pretty fun article that discusses possible connections between Tears of the Kingdom and other Zelda mainline games:

    https://gamerant.com/legend-of-zelda...ss-connection/

I've been playing a lot of Splatoon 3 lately... and I am loving it so much (for the most part.)

Tonight, I had two disconnects after Salmon Run wins and both times Nintendo threatened to penalize me for disconnecting?!? My signal was just fine, it was the Nintendo servers that booted the players...

I was a little miffed by this. Later, I played a ton of Turf-War without so much as a hiccup... I read online that the Salmon Run is notorious for booting players. Something in the code? Programming? Whatever it is... it needs to get fixed - quickly!

On a happier note, I finally got my hands on this beauty:
