Long time Fan, First Time Poster

Hi! My name is Steve and I am from Columbus, Ohio.

My love of Masters of the Universe began in the 80s. One Christmas my parents decided to buy my brothers and myself nothing but MOTU toys. Both my brothers got their very own He-Man, Battlecat, Skeletor and Teela. One brother got the Battle Ram and the other got the Wind Raider. They also got their own Castle Grayskulls.

My parents didn't get me quite the same thing. In fact, I only got 4 figures. I unwrapped Man-at-Arms, Stratos, Beastman and Zodac. To this day, I love those characters and will buy any version of them that I can find.

The cartoon also has a special place in my heart. My friends and I would watch it every afternoon when it aired on our local station.

As I got older, I thought I would never see the return of He-Man. When the first figures for 200X showed up in ToyFare magazine, I fell in love with MOTU all over again. The detail was amazing and the bad guys looked like terrifying versions of their former selves.

I watched every episode of the new cartoon. I spent several nights hunting down as many of the figures as I possibly could. Of course, my first priorities were Man at Arms, Stratos, Beastman and Zodak.

When 2008 rolled around and the MOTU Classics came into being, I was excited once again. I remember the onsale dates and crossing my fingers that I would be able to log in and buy the figure that I wanted. When the opportunity to subscribe was available, I jumped at the chance.

During that time there seemed to be plenty of arguments between fan factions. MOTU vs NA vs 200X vs POP. I didn't care. I decided to buy all the characters, vehicles, mounts and the castle.

I am happy that Super7 is continuing the line and I am looking forward to having more Filmation and Classics styled figures. I bought wave 1 and preordered wave 2. I bought the PowerCon exclusives for the first year and plan on getting the new PowerCon exclusives as well.

I never meet anyone from Columbus in any forums. Thanks for the welcome.

When it comes to collecting the figures, I love all the sculpts and designs. Always viewed it as one big universe and each character was part of that. Personally I have always loved the non human characters the most.
