    YES!!!!

When I moved into my new house 3 summers ago I built shelving specifically for Snake Mountain-- back before it was canceled. That space has filled up since, so it looks like I'll have to make more room!

Looks like it. The snake seems different but it is probably paint that made the difference.

    What do you think?
    Initial thoughts:

I am so happy that there's enough clearance that Skeletor can stand up straight at the Wolf Gate. I am so happy that the ledges for the shackles and over the tunnel are wide enough to properly stand a figure upon. I am so happy it doesn't appear to have been shrunk down in order to cut costs. I am so sad that I am going to be poor forever if I end up buying this!

This thing is going to be pricey, and I have no room for it, but I’m in, nonethless.

    Holy cow..

yes, looks incredible. Not sure where to put it... And definitely not an option unless they find a retail partner in the EU to buy from, shipping and import tax would make this "unaffordable", I reckon.

I love it! I don’t know yet if I can afford it or if I will have the display space but I really like what I’m seeing here. If this actually gets made it also means other large scale items are possible. How about a Grayskull 2.0 with all the features that were planned but got cut? In actual scale with the figures?
    Awesome sticker included!

Wasn't Grayskull $250? I think if this is anything above $400 then I wish them luck getting enough buyers!

Besides doesn't Grayskull have a lot more separate and functioning parts? Snake Mountain probably only has the bridge and table and throne being the only other separate tools? Then again it has a more detailed interior which won't help cost... Still I think $350-$400 should be their aim, otherwise a lot of people just won't bother.
Most wanted Filmation style MOTUC figures:

Hunga the Harpy, Webstor, Kobra Khan, Leech, Whiplash, Rattlor, Catra Cat Form, Ram Man, Count Marzo, Two-Bad, King Miro, Twiggets, Frosta, Kothos and Admiral Scurvy.

WOW. Super 7 that is really impressive!

It's been a while. I think it was 250 or 275 for pre order with 25 shipping? The price jumped up to either 275 or 300 once it was up as an in stock item on Matty.

I'm ready to drop whatever to get this but I understand not everyone is in the same boat as me.

I thought Castle Grayskull originally came out for like $350, no? It felt like that much, anyway. I imagine this playset, which appears larger, and seems to have about as much going on inside, would/should be about $500 shipped (look at Hasbro's Jabba's Sail Barge) - maybe more if they plan on doing a Kickstarter where the more people who order, the more add-ins S7 can supply.

I think I can handle about $500. I showed my six-year-old daughter this morning as soon as she woke up, and she literally squealed with delight. We love our Castle Grayskull, but the villains always have to hole up on an empty shelf in our adventures.

I wonder if there will be a net into which the figures can fall from the trap door?

I have kept all my old Matty emails, and I bought one Castle Grayskull on 10/16/2012 for $250 with $36.85 shipping, for a total of $286.85, and another Castle, that I ended up selling, on 11/03/2012 with the shipping price of $19.65 (I think they had problems calculating shipping at first), for a total of $269.65. I do remember Scott saying they were heavily discounting the shipping on this thing.

So, almost 6 years ago, pre-order customers got it for just under $300. I think the starting price was $300 when it was put up on Matty, not including shipping. So, for something that is much bigger, being made by a much smaller company, in likely much smaller quantities, with shipping and plastic prices likely higher now than then, a price tag of $400-$500 seems in the right range.

As noted above, the Jedi Sail Barge was a success, notwithstanding the larger fan base for Star Wars. That was $500.

But, if anything, the fate of this Classics Snake Mountain will provide a handy barometer to gauge just how 'healthy' the MOTU(C) license is circa 2018 (and how deep fan pockets are at this late stage). If it fails to be 'Kickstarted', or doesn't receive enough pre-orders, that could seriously undermine the confidence of Super7 going forward, and would certainly hurt the fan community (or, at least, the Classics wing of that community). Worse, if the set did get released but was seriously compromised by quality control issues, that would certainly be the end of (already wavering) consumer confidence in Super7 MOTUC and, by extension, the end of the line...

EDIT: The following video (just uploaded) explains a lot, at 8:50 for Snake Mountain. Pixel Dan really is doing some amazing work getting these videos out so quickly.

I looked back through my old emails.
Castle Grayskull was indeed $250 when I pre-ordered it
Shipping to the UK was $94, which sounded a lot at the time... but I'd be happy if it was anywhere near approaching that now!

Personally, I'd rather that Snake Mountain wasn't as much as $500.
Just looking at the US inflation rate alone $250 in 2012 is about $275 in today's money.
Snake Mountain is bigger than Grayskull, plastic may have increased in price faster than the average inflation rate, and it's likely to have a smaller production run.
So it's obviously going to be more than $275, I just hope it's not that much more.

That said Castle Grayskull went up in price after the pre-order period didn't it?
If you wanted to buy it from Mattrycollector on release it was $300, I think.
So I guess we should be prepared for a steep price on this one.
