    UPDATED September 21, 2018:

    From Super7:

Hey Masters of the Universe Fans! As promised, here is an image of the new version of He-Ro with his updated vac-metal gold torso and boots. This is the actual sample figure at Super7 HQ.

The original prototype for He-Ro featured the vac-metal gold. Early Super7 prototypes featured a metallic gold paint, rather than the vac-metal finish. Fans voiced their concern and we listened!

As we previously announced, both He-Ro and Eldor will now also be packaged with a mini-comic style booklet featuring concept artwork and history of the development of the characters. The Beast Man, Man-At-Arms, Robot He-Man, and Teela 5.5" Figures will come with the previously announced cartoon-accurate accessories and features.

The pre-sale for He-Ro and the other Masters of the Universe Vintage Collection Wave 2 Figures will be live until Monday, October 1st.

Please note this is not a limited edition release but pre-orders will receive the figures as soon as they arrive from the factory. All pre-orders for He-Ro will receive the vac-metal version and it will be the only version of the figure manufactured.

    UPDATED September 17, 2018:

    From Super7:

Hey MOTU MANIACS! Just a quick Eternian update from you friends at Super7:

The pre-sale for the Masters of the Universe Vintage Collection Wave 2 Figures, originally scheduled to end today, has been extended to Monday, October 1st.

Our team has been hard at work on making these figures the very best they can be, and have made some improvements since this pre-order started, most notably to the Powers of Grayskull collection!

The original prototype for He-Ro featured a vac-metal gold torso and boots. Early Super7 prototypes featured a metallic gold paint, rather than the vac-metal finish. Fans voiced their concern and we listened!

The Super7 He-Ro figure will officially come with vac-metal torso and boots, just like it was intended. Additionally, both He-Ro and Eldor will now be packaged with a mini-comic style booklet featuring concept artwork and history of the development of the characters.

We will post photos of the updated vac-metal He-Ro later this week.

The Beast Man, Man-At-Arms, Robot He-Man, and Teela 5.5" Figures will come with the previously announced cartoon-accurate accessories and features.

Grab all of them now from Super7!

Please note this is not a limited edition release but pre-orders will receive the figures as soon as they arrive from the factory. If you have already placed a pre-order for these there is no need to contact us. Nothing about your order will change.

    Thanks,
    Team Super7

    -----------------------------
    Wave two will consist of:

    Man-At-Arms
    Beast Man
    Teela
    Robot He-Man (Filmation Faker)

    We'll hopefully have photos soon.

The Robot He-Man isn't Faker, it was the decoy MAA created when Skelly kidnapped Prince Adam and demanded He-Man as ransom.

I think it's only because many folks recall the vintage toy as being the robotic imposter and have that ingrained in their memory, albeit in a different color scheme of course. I only remembered due to seeing the full run on the BCI DVDs a few years ago.

Maybe when The Return of Faker is done, it can be a tie-in.

Glad to get more of these but if I can buy them in stock in April of next year then that’s what I’m going to do tired of the waiting if I don’t have to preorder to get them that’s what I’ll do

It will be if Nothing changed but visibly S7 does not a have a final sample figure ready to share, they are using the first resin prototype ones for their pictures.
I was really hoping to see final samples but well, maybe we'll have pictures of them soon.

Preordered Teela, but I guess I won’t really know if that was the right choice till I get my Skeletor.

Man, that Robot He-Man is creepy AF though.

Yes, this is getting ridiculous. S7 is falling over half a year behind their own schedule.

Well. Better than years of subscribing and committing to 12 months of figures. When only seeing maybe 4 in July. And THEN waiting for them to come until the next year anyways...

I mean. There's always something for fans to gripe about. No question there. But folks seem to have a memory-loss on how it went with mattycollector and how *that* was the bane of existence...
