Re-release POP with hair and clothes

Was there ever Talk that they (? Super 7?) Would re-release pop (like they do now with he man) with hair and clothes? Like they were in the 80s.

    Would love to know.
All we got were the ugly version from the classic series

I asked SUPER7 if they ever consider to make the Star Sisters for example as vintage figures like Eldor and they said they would use rooted hair and fabric just like the vintage figures.

So at least itīs possible we get never before made characters in that vintage look.

And i wouldnīt consider the Classics figures as ugly. Iīm a huge POP fan and i prefer the vintage outfits over some of the FILMATION outfits but the head sculpts like great(except for Frosta and maybe Perfuma) if you ask me.

    Thanks

I truly want them the way they were in the 80s.

They could have started with she ra.
But it was not the case.

    Fingers crosssed it will happen

I would like to see this. I'm not a fan of the Filmation looks.

I would be down for this. The POP community really didn’t get that taste of nostalgia the way MOTU fans did; they couldn’t play with hair and switch outfits like they could with the vintage line.
It's all been done before. Everything to say has already been said. Do me a solid and pretend I posted something witty and original here

So your basically asking for dolls? Dolls have rooted hair and interchangeable clothes. The already released 12 inch She-Ra and the rumored line would then be your best bet. I don't believe Super 7 or Mattel would ever release all the 6 inch action figures like that as it's a niche line. Money talks and I feel there's not much support for something like that.

    I don't think so.

Although, Mattel have somewhat indicated that they plan to do *something* related to classic / vintage She-Ra in association with their products for the She-Ra reboot. Whether or not that will come to fruition remains to be seen.

Is that a custom? Or some kind of bootleg from back in the day?

The ball-jointed shoulder makes me think it's some kind of custom, although I can't place the base body.

it is a custom, or better said: a handcrafted figure... The sculpt it is original, with the exception of the torso (i used a mini barbie one) as a base, but the rest of the parts where sculpted, molded, casted and painted by myself.

I think S7 is the wrong tree for "classic" designed She-Ra guys...

I would like to see pop redesigned for the 5.5 line in the same genre as teela and evil Lyn , so they would at least match up with them and the rest of the masters figure, just like classics did that with pop and na. One homogeneous action figure line, that to me would be a dream come true. I have no intreast In rooted hair and fabric clothes. A continuation of where the old Motu left off incorporating pop and na, plus all the new characters we never had( Scorpia, shadow weaver, fang man, icer, lizard man, strong arm) horde robot

I don't mind the idea of this, but I'll be sticking with the 12" line for 'doll' type figures (provided they actually get made). I also like that the doll line is including both Filmation & toy designs.

I recall the guys from Mattel's WWE line telling us how expensive fabric clothes are. I'm sure rooted hair is a pretty big expense too, particularly if the factory is not set up to do it.

By the way, has anyone seen those horrendous machines they use to do rooted hair? Scary. I wouldn't be going near one
