Yeah, this is the only MOTU product I collect, and it'll be sad if it's over.

That being said, I do think it's had a good run, far more than I expected when it launched. For me, the only characters I really REALLY feel the lack of are Buzz-Off, Clawful and Kobra Khan. If they could just stretch to release them this year, I'd be happy with what we got.

Though, of course, once those guys are out, you'll find me here saying "Yeah yeah, just give me Snout Spout, Two Bad and Spikor, and THEN we'll be done..." It never ends!

Is there somewhere I'm supposed to go to order these things where it will show up for Mattel? The idea that they're having "very low orders" blows my mind when they seem to sell out in the few minutes they're available on Amazon and other seller sites.

I've already lost interest in the line. Will probably sell off my sets in person at my artist booth at Power-Con. Then I won't have to worry about shipping any of it and I know there will be buyers.

Real shame too because it is fun to build and collect but I'm tired of the secondary market game now.

Mega MOTU is my favorite line to collect. It has gotten me back into brick building too. It even got me into Mega and I have gotten Halo and COD figures/sets just because the mini-figures are so awesome and, for me, superior to Lego mini-figures.

I don't want to see this line die. If all we can get is a couple sets a year, it is better than nothing. I will get the Power Sword but the mini-figures are what I want the most. The creature/playsets/vehicle builds have been fun and I look forward to more of them.

I have also picked up figures from several of Mega's other lines. I have Spock, Kirk, and Dr. McCoy heads on Man-At-Arms bodies as Eternian Guards. I also have a few Halo vehicles that are dark purple that I use for Skeletor.

Got my figs from Deep Discount today. Wow! The packaging is so flimsy on this one! Wouldn’t mind grabbing a couple more of these sets.

Side note, I started trying to grab all the vintage-y dinosaur kits from Mega[Blocks]- there are only a few. I put he-man on one and he looked great! I’ll snap a pic the neck t time I put one together.

    I feel exactly the same!
Buzz-Off, Clawful and Kobra Khan have been fairly prominent ever since Filmation. Of course so is King Randor, and he'd just need a new head and armor... armor that his vintage toy shared with Jitsu... come on, just a little more to go...

I wonder if LEGO has been pushing more product on retailers to try and keep Mega Construx down. I've noticed that as Mega started getting more and more licensed stuff LEGO has had more, just in general. Also retailers, near me, have been expanding the LEGO section while shrinking the Mega section or moving it to some other location or cutting it all together.

IDK just looking back a building toys over the past few years it seems like LEGO is strong arming the other brick based building toys out.

I really love this line. It's my favorite MOTU line out right now as well. I'd love to get more characters along with the Fright Zone and Eternia. If I could choose 1 more vehicle to get it would be the Fright Fighter. Never had it as a kid or adult. Its just so cool looking. I'd love a Mega Construx Version.

I don't really have an interest in the larger weapon and big battle cat sets.

My thinking is that they're saving the Fright Zone for if they're given the steel mold budget for Mantenna, Leech and Grizzlor. With figure packs canceled, that's the ONLY outlet for these characters.
The Eternia Towers, there are different thematic options for including figures, with more parts reuse: 5 of the Snake Men were associated with them in minicomics and art (all the original toy ones minus Kobra Khan), but also King Randor, Clamp Champ, Ninjor, a few other characters we've already seen, and Flying Fists He-Man + Terror Claws Skeletor (because you know such a big ticket item needs both those guys).

That would be a really cool way to release Eternia... 3 different tower playsets that can combine to create Eternia. All packed with different mini figs. YOU TAKING NOTES, MATTEL?

Lego does try to keep other brands as far away from theirs as possible. They don't like having competition in the same aisle with their products.

As a LEGO person, I can tell you yes, LEGO is a little shrewd in that sense, especially when many clone brands have been emerging as of late and some were actually infringing on their sets and properties by not only copying the designs, but also by marketing almost the exact box imageries and layouts, especially in the Far East markets and online.

Snake Mountain is now available from Target.com, through a 3rd party: https://www.target.com/p/mega-motu-s...n/-/A-88563659
Currently $229.99, which puts it around $218.49 with the 5% discount if you have a Target RedCard.

Saw this posted on ebay. The wings look like they are from a Halo drone (the listing does state they aren't original), but nice to see Buzz Off (apparently) make it to the prototype stage.

Same seller had Ninjor listed as "black knight"

Given the tooling was (seemingly) done for these… I do wonder if /maybe/ there was another set in the pipeline... Buzz-Off vs Ninjor perhaps?

The vehicles have come with 2-3 figures. If I had to guess, I'd say they were planned to come with an Evil vehicle, since Buzz Off driving a vehicle would look "off" and the only Heroic aircraft left from the vintage line is the relatively unpopular Blaster Hawk.

Actually we have the attack trek, dragon walker, and road ripper. That being said definitely need more evil vehicles too.

I could see them releasing a purple evil warriors version of the Wind Raider with Buzz Off and Ninjor. Tooling costs would be minimal that way.
