Which is your favorite new design for the Princesses of Power?

I can tell that not everyone is a fan of the re-designed She-Ra characters... and we don't know a lot about them yet. But, I am curious to see which of the new designs reigns supreme so far.

For me, it was a hard choice between Mermista and Netossa because I love both the original versions and the new redesigns. I ended up voting for Mermista though because of my love for all things oceanic.

Bow, hands down.
Few others that I don't dislike are Catra, Hordak, Adora.

I went with Netossa. I don't know what it is, I really dig her design.

I also really love Sea Hawk's and Hordak's. Catra's has really grown on me; I was hesitant at first since I just love the drag queen ridiculousness of her original design, but she's won me over.

Least favorites are Glimmer, Frosta, Entrapta, and Mermista. Mermista is probably my most disappointed design, since she's my favorite of the Great Rebellion in the original series. Her skin tone and color scheme are fine, but I just wish she had a slimmer, sleeker look.

She is the best of the females, so I am surprised to see her left out. I'll go with Hordak. I still like his Filmation design better, but I have no real big issues with his redesign.

They are all growing on me, but I would have to say Netossa best embodies the spirit of the original (the silver shimmer and the blue), while giving a fresh look! Spinnerella is a close second!

For me it was between Hordak and Catra. I decided to go with Catra because, of the two, her redesign was the more gutsy departure from the original design.

I know I'm probably going to get blasted into orbit for bringing this up, but I'm going to anyway. I know various recent cartoon/comics/etc try to have diverse casts and women that represent a variety of different body types (and I honestly am all for that), but it seems odd to deliberately make a pre-existing character fat for some reason and celebrate that. Spinerella's shape is not because she's a certain "body type" and she's not even just "plus size"; Spinerella would be an undeniably unhealthy weight if she were an actual person. Her thighs are literally the same size as some of the other characters' torsos.

I'd say that it's a really hard question, but ultimately either Catra or Scorpia got the biggest improvement over a classic design that I actually disliked. Probably Scorpia over Catra from purely a design standpoint.

Bonus points to Spinnerella for being adorably chubby in a way that I'm so, so glad the show went with! Cartoons-in-general need more cute fat girls. She looks an awful lot like my fiancee!

He is the only one i think actually looks better.

These new designs make me appreciate the original POP designs even moreso now. I wish these were new characters altogether, not new versions of the older characters. This is the opposite of my feeling for 200X versus Vintage or Filmation MOTU.

I love Entrapta, really cool design! But I like all with the exception of Swift Wind and She-Ra's normal tiara.

This is an interesting thought... while the show was a sequel to the Filmation show, the New Adventures of He-Man went this route and, with the exception of He-Man & Skeletor (and to a lesser extent, Sorceress & Teela), all of the characters were new creations. Since I am a fan, it was awesome to see the MOTU universe expand with so many new good guys and bad guys (although, many people loathed the new designs...).

Given this is a reboot/retelling, I wonder how that would have affected this show?

I’m watching this show and I don’t have a favorite. And to be honest this show makes me appreciate even more the Filmation animation.

I voted Bow, but Entrapta (whose design I was most hesitant about when I first saw it online) is a VERY close second. Her personality, love of gadgetry, and the fact that a cartoon finally can make her hair DO STUFF like I always imagined it had the ability to, all comes together with the design to make one of my favorite characters in the new show. I'm hoping she gets a toy made of her!

I love everything they've done with Bow. I think he's my favourite character now, which he wasn't in the original series. Though once Swift Wind started talking, I can't get enough of him. Scorpia's become awesome too

As far as design alone? Angella. Netossa is really nice too.

If we are talking reinterpretation / acting / writing? Entrapta. The actress is exquisite, and the writing for the character is A++++

I personally don't like the art style of the new cartoon, it feels rushed or even fanmade like. 30 years have past after the original She-Ra cartoon, yet does the new version feels less detailed, especially the settings and surroundings/backgrounds.
It really does make you appreciate the filmation cartoon even more.
I have nothing against the "*** agenda" some people talk about, I just don't like the art of the cartoon.
