Why? It looks like a Sky sled to me.

The sky sled looks disproportionate to me. The guns look way too big, and the Griffin looks too small. I'm picking up on a box art vibe, but quite honestly, I feel like they could have started with original sky sled and replaced all the soft details with much more detailed parts.

Battle Cat is $24.99. From the snippets from the panel I seen, he has head, jaw, and tail articulation besides what else you see.

Was wondering where a thread for this on here was.

    Battle Cat Box Art

Here is the box art for battle cat, who is part of wave 1 as well.

I want to like these origins, I really do. I’m just not there yet. Maybe once I have the final classics and snake mountain in hand I can take on a new line, but I just don’t like that battle cat or the looks of the figures overall. But I’m trying.

Positives..... I love the box art for battle cat, I really like the vintage feel of the packaging.

Thank you! Yes, I hope they do some more work on the Sky Sled. I'd be cool with something that looks vintage or more box arty, but it doesn't make sense to redesign it. Swappable heads is a great idea, though.

Battle Cat looks a bit odd - neck seems short and legs seem long. But not bad! Trap Jaw looks good. Still hoping to see some more minicomic variants eventually, maybe at next year's Powercon

The art looks good. I would have preferred just a reuse of the original art, but this is good too.

I don't care at all about this line. I see it as very basic stuff, I have no nostalgia for the 80s line in terms of collecting.

Looking at pics from the con, it’s interesting how many pieces are tooled up for the WWE line. The Macho Man figure alone has the Battle Armour with the swappable pieces like on Classics. He has 2 of the MAA leg guards and a mace closer to the Classics one. The customisers are gonna have a field day with this line.

The TMNT figures look incredible. Put NECA's efforts to shame, IMO.

And I have to say, Trap-Jaw looks really good. Quite possibly my favourite Origins figure so far:

Better picture of Battle-Cat. Looks a lot better in the "flesh" than in the official images, IMO:

Until now on many pictures shown legs of the figures seem a little bit small in comparison to the rest of the body (proportion problem), but on this pictures the lenght of them seem quite correct, it is a good point.

Battle Cat is a chunky Monkey, I love it.

Also they don't have the helmet on correctly, the nose isn't covered, I'm guessing, in hand, the helmet will sit lower, which (IMO) will look better.

And, ankle articulation is not required, too much of a hassle for kids to play with. (So this is Perfect to me)

    Hmm.

The more I see of these origins I don't think I'm a fan of the buck they use.

I really like this line! I will collect them Mattel makes them available to international Costumers.

For example, the She-ra toys will not come to europe (mattel stated that to costumers directly). That means, i will not hunt them...

I was thinking the same thing about these Origins figures, that it's a shame that the legs are so short, but these photos look like the problem is fixed. I hope it's not an issue of just one photo being wrong.

So are we getting one mini-comic per wave or per figure? Its gotta be per wave at this price point right? The slide says 1st Series Draft Artwork which to me implies one mini-comic per series/wave.

I dont know why it bothers me so much but I cant stand that he-man has the 2 tone boot colors. He's mini comic version hanging out with toy versions. And the new head is not speaking to me at all. I need the vintage head.
