    She-Ra is coming to Tubi

Tubi Signs AVOD Deal with NBCUniversal for Nearly 400 Television Episodes and Movies - Accelerating Its Content Growth Strategy

Titles include beloved series such as Xena: Warrior Princess, The A-Team, Magnum, P.I., Punky Brewster, The Incredible Hulk, The Bionic Woman, and Battlestar Galactica ’78

Tubi has the widest distribution of any ad-supported video on demand service and can be found on over 20 platforms and connected devices including iOS, Android, Comcast Xfinity X1, Roku and Amazon Fire TV

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tubi (www.tubi.tv), the world’s largest ad-supported video on demand (VOD) service today announced it has signed an AVOD deal with NBCUniversal, adding nearly 400 television episodes and movies as part of its aggressive plan to expand in 2019. Tubi customers will be able to easily access a variety of movies and television series from one of the world’s leading content libraries – completely free. Titles include iconic TV series such as Xena: Warrior Princess, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, The A-Team, Punky Brewster, The Incredible Hulk, Quantum Leap and the original versions of Magnum, P.I., Battlestar Galactica, Bionic Woman, and She-Ra: Princess of Power.

“We’re excited to be a home to this robust library of world-class, iconic content from NBCUniversal that appeals across generations,” said Adam Lewinson, Chief Content Officer, Tubi. “We are aggressively working to expand our library, and this is one of many deals to come for Tubi."

Tubi continues to expand its already massive content library which presently contains more than 12,000 movies and television series – and expects to grow it at an accelerated pace throughout the year. The company’s content volume is more than double in size to Netflix – approximately 40,000 hours of content. Tubi consistently ranks as one of the most watched apps on the world’s largest platforms including Amazon’s Fire TV, Roku iOS, Android, Xfinity X1, and many others.

Tubi recently announced record growth in 2018, with 4.3 times the amount of content on the service over the previous year – and in December 2018, customers streamed nearly as much content as all of 2017. The company also announced plans to invest over nine figures into content acquisitions in 2019 to rapidly grow its already large catalog.

Thanks for sharing. This is the first I’ve heard of Tubi.

Transformers, Super Mario World, GI Joe, Super Sentai... WOW do they have a lot of stuff.

Tubi is awesome, I watch Transformers and Gi-Joe there, nice to get She-ra since Netflix got rid of her

Nice. All I had to do was complain and poof, it appeared.

Hopefully they’ll get the whole series posted eventually. Only 30 episodes at the moment.

I haven't ran across it lately there, but I haven't looked too hard since I own a digital version on VUDU and the DVD sets. I imagine this and the original He-Man could eventually be on NBC Universal's Peacock Network like New Adventures some day.

Thanks for replying. I can see that Jem is still there, but no She-Ra or He-Man. While I own the show on DVDs I'd really love to watch it without ghosting issues and messed up transitions. I mean I hope that the digital version is unaltered Pal one.

As far as streaming goes right now, a google search shows that it is available to buy on VUDU and Amazon. One can also watch it without buying it separately if one has Starz. It looks like one can watch it for free with the IMDb TV app (with commercials), but I am unfamiliar with that app.

IMDB TV's streaming quality is usually pretty good. It can be hard to find exactly what you want though. I especially don't care for their new home screen. I don't mind the commercials, they are usually not excessive.

I have the IMDb TV app. Both seasons of She-Ra are on there, but many of the season 2 episodes are mislabeled. If you're using Amazon Firestick you will have to search for it on the main search in order to find it. I don't see a search option directly on the app.

Interesting that NA is on Peacock before the "more important" original He-Man. I'm not sure how that works...

With New Adventures not being tied up currently with any streaming services such as Starz like Filmation She-Ra and He-Man that I am aware of, it probably made it easier to have there at the start of Peacock. I'm not sure why Universal wouldn't have some of their lesser known Filmation shows on there was well (Bravestarr, Ghostbusters, Blackstar, etc.). The more, the merrier.

I think it's awesome, although I already have all of Classic MOTU, Classic POP, the 1987 live action MOTU movie, NA, MYP MOTU, and the first volume of Dreamworks POP on DVD.

"IMDb TV is only available to customers in the U.S. at this time." Bummer, as usual.

Bummer indeed. I don't like things that are ethnocentric. I think we should focus on things that bring us closer together.
