Awesome! I'll have to share it with my wife. She is a huge fan of the 80s Strawberry Shortcake.

I remember watching some of the specials. I'll have to check them out again some time.

My sister had a lot of the figures. I had Huckleberry Pie and The Purple Pieman. I dug the smells of the toys.

So: would you be in favor of a live-action movie of Strawberry Shortcake? I think it could work as long as it is directed at kids and does not include adult-skewing humor. I mean the live-action Chipmunks and Smurfs seemed to work.

And a live-action movie might lead to more of these animated movies!

When I was young (5 to 7ish) my best friend was the girl next door (*sigh*) and she collected the dolls. I loved how they smelled. My wife has a few from when she was a girl and they still have their scent, and I swear, there's nothing like the smell of Strawberry Shortcake's hair to transport me back to the early 1980s.

I'd love a live-action movie, but would also prefer that it be directed at kids and in the spirit of the 80's version.

Penny just so you know a bunch of the old listening books for Strawberry Shortcake and Rainbow Brite are on YouTube if you look for them. Both of the old Kid Stuff/Kid Vid VHS Rainbow Brite tapes are on YouTube also, no VHS stuff for Strawberry though.
Griffen Is not My real name, just what I aspire to be.

I collect MOTU/POP, Transformers, Garfield the Cat, & 80's/90's Book & Tape/Record Sets. I collect VHS & DVD of 80's-00's properties. I get comic books, novels, & ViewMaster Reels as well. If you want to discuss this stuff & other things, then PM me here on the .org. I enjoy anime, video games, & sci-fi, too. DC or Marvel, it's all good.

Here is a list of most of what is on YouTube:

    Kid Stuff See and Read
    The Transformers 2 VHS
    G.I. Joe 1 VHS
DC Super Powers 2 VHS plus the guy who uploaded this also upload the 3rd story listening book to complete the "Darkseid Trilogy"
    Rainbow Brite 2 VHS

    Golden Book Video
Masters of the Universe 2 VHS
    Sesame Street 2 VHS
Richard Scarry's Busy Town 3 VHS(1 is the Step Ahead Educational Tape, the other 2 are fairy tale classics)
    My Pet Monster 1 VHS
The Pound Puppies 1 of the 3 VHS
    The Care Bears 1 VHS
Little Critter and Friends 1 VHS
    The Hugga Bunch 1 VHS

Unfortunatly the She-Ra vhs tape was taken down a while back and they are missing some others as well. What is missing:

    Kid Stuff See and Read
    The Scrabble People 2 VHS
    The Flintstones 1 VHS
    Shirt Tales 1 VHS
    The Sectaurs 1 VHS
    The Smurfs 1 VHS

    Golden Book Video
She-Ra Princess of Power 1 VHS
The Pound Puppies 2 of the VHS tapes are missing

These are all still worth a watch since these are stories outside the original media sources we are used to. And there are also a ton of other franchise listening books with record/tape that are on YouTube as well.
