Maybe you're right. I guess this is something I have wanted for so long and have seen a lot of false starts that I am hesitant to accept that it is actually happening.

Well, if it is happening then the next thing I worry about is the quality and treatment of the franchise. But I would still appreciate the fact we got a new movie.

Don't get me wrong, I completely appreciate where you're coming from. I'm slightly the same, too. I want the momentum to keep on going. So whenever there's any sort of silence, I get nervous. But in all honesty, looking at this objectively, it would appear as though things are moving full steam ahead, especially now more so taking into account Adam Nee's latest Instagram post.

The story, look, tone and feel of the film is another thing entirely. Obviously as fans, that's the stuff we care about the most. Unfortunately, that is a waiting game. So we have to wait quite a while longer before we can get a real feel for this thing. Although, I'm guessing set pictures could leak, giving us our first looks at some of the characters, but that would depend on how much of it is going to be shot on location and how much in a studio.

The photo of the Nee brothers and Noah is definitely encouraging.

With regards to the movie, I am of the mindset that it won't be exactly what I would want from a MOTU movie, but it's what the brand needs to move forward and essentially grow its fanbase, so there will be changes made which I won't like but that's the way it will be. I'm hoping they stay true to the source material as much as possible though. For example, I only liked the first Transformers movie, the rest are terrible, but look how much it has helped the TF brand, it's done so much for it and it's helped the fans gain new stuff along the way.

Yeah, I saw his comment. I'm not expecting anything, but maybe something? I think next year, for definite, though. All being well, MOTU should have quite a big presence at SDCC 2020.

2021 is booking up quite quickly. A live-action Akira adaptation has just been slotted in May 2021. Already you have three "newcomers" wanting to break through (MOTU, Mortal Kombat and Akira). Could be a good year for genre movie buffs (like me).

Talk about crossover mania. Apparently, our future new He-Man, Noah Centineo will be appearing in the next Charlie's Angels film alongside Power Rangers and Aladdin star Naomi Scott, Power Rangers star Elizabeth Banks (who has co-written and directed the Charlie's Angels film), and Djimon Hounsou who has appeared in Aquaman and Shazam.

Yes, it would be nice to see them at Power-Con this year as guests if they aren't filming that week. I know they were walking around the con for a short bit last year.

TBH, I think they've just made a mistake. They've put it back in the TBD 2020 section. Someone should tell them about that. Sony Pictures themselves actually issued the release date to the trades. I'll take Variety's, Deadline's and Adam Nee's words over BO Mojo.

Maybe but when the news come out the last week Mojo immediately changed the date to 2021 but now they put it again to 2020 release,It's weird.

Not only that, but the project will have a new director, actor, and writers attached... aaaaaand, in 2025, whichever studio holds the license will decide that it's just not worth the time and money and put it back in the vault.

But, that's okay because the the animated Netflix show will be moving into it's second season at this time.

As preparations for next week's Licensing Expo in Las Vegas get underway, we have an early glimpse of some promotional art for three of Legendary Pictures' upcoming movies that will be showcased as the event.

While the Masters of the Universe and Dune images are not revealing in the slightest, the Godzilla Vs. Kong banner does give us a look at the iconic beasts of the title roaring into battle.
