    Androids or Cyborgs?

Which do you prefer, androids or cyborgs?

"An android is a robot or other artificial being designed to resemble a human, and often made from a flesh-like material."

"A cyborg, short for "cybernetic organism", is a being with both organic and biomechatronic body parts."

.... our fate is in the balance! :O

Androids. I prefer AI driven robotic characters over cyborgs. Either for heroes or villains.

Not that I can't enjoy Terminator though.

I still haven't come to a decision on either...

I just added the images of C-3PO and T-800 because they are two of the most recognizable examples of each.

I've always been a big fan of the six million dollar man so it's cyborgs for me. I wouldn't say no to a robot arm either

yep. 6 million dollar man is awesome. Honestly, I really don't consider Terminator to be a 'cyborg' even if they do use that term. He's a robot with skin on top of it... but everything that matters is robotic and when the skin gets burned away... it's fully functional with just the exoskeleton.

Robocop on the other hand... It needs that fleshy stuff to function. THAT's a cyborg

    Good call.

Here are two more popular movie icons representing Androids and Cyborgs...

    The Android, Bishop

The Cyborg, Alex Murphy (i.e. RoboCop)

    Cyborgs ate pretty cool.
One of the first couple cartoons I watched was a Japanese show about three cyborgs called Starzingers/Spaceketeers/Sci-bots. Different names in different places but the Vhs tapes I got they were called Sci-bots.
