Wow. I'm even more excited to get mine now after watching that!

The packaging looks stellar, reminds me of the kind of quality you see with Hot Toys Movie Master Pieces stuff.

The figure and accessories look awesome. Shame about the limited articulation especially for the head but otherwise I'm super impressed and glad he turned out great! Now the wait for my shipment...

Love that they took the 5.5" toy blaster rifle and made a real looking version of it as an accessory. I'm not sure if the lighting the guy used for the video washed out some of the color and details, He-man's hair looked a little light. Looking forward to getting mine

Me: *makes figure that is very posable and posts pics of various poses*

Guy reviewing: This figure is not very posable.

Guy reviewing: *proceeds to show figure in various cool poses*

People on message board: Too bad that he's not posable!

    Me:

You can't win em all! haha

But seriously, that's a nice review. (BTW- Be sure when you get your figure to pull the skirt down a bit, and adjust the belt. Just a few seconds of finesse goes a long way.)

Also- don't be afraid of the Faker thing. We are not doing convention exclusives of actual characters. The thing to keep in mind is that if we ever do an exclusive character, where you can only get it from one place, that one place will be www.mondotees.com Which is NOT the case with Faker...

Haha my comment was more about the limited head artic because of the hair and the tight joints from the video! ::-P

Still no update or notification from Sideshow though for my order.

I would like to see a front on shot with that head. All the things we have seen thus far have only shown it angled. At least on the body. The standard head is the only thing I don’t really like about the figure so I might be using the vintage head if it looks decent.

    Wow, wow, wow.
The paint work on him and the accessories is first class.
    The sculpt work is crazy.
    Can. Not. Wait.
I just want to know about the fur shorts, is the harness removable.
Can believe he didn't show the arm bracers....ugh, REALLY want this figure!
Dang, imagine how cool the rest will be.
I really hope to see Teela, or Evily Lyn maybe more so.

Yes, I do. That doesn't necessarily mean that the head was his idea.

What makes you think anyone involved in making a toy would genuinely say thank you to someone describing part of it as ďgoofy as hellĒ?

Because they didn't like the idea but were forced by company higher-ups to implement it.

Heís the creative director for Toys and collectibles at Mondo. He is the higher-up.

Even if he wasnít, would he really be on here criticising his employer?

He might. Some people are punk-rock like that.

I think Brock just really digs a little craziness, I mean it is a property consisting of magic and science and some of the goofiest names around. Maybe down the road they will release another portrait for He-man as an exclusive piece

    Agreed.
He's already talked about the vintage head.
It is MEANT to be "goofy" looking.
It was just something fun to do.

This conversation is hilarious. No, I wasn't being sarcastic. I love including that head with the figure, and love it even more when people aren't onboard for the goofiness, because that means that those that get it are my kind of goofs, and I like easy ways of seeing who will be on my team in the coming apocalypse.

It's the eyes that are throwing people off, isn't it? A more human-looking figure would need more human-looking eyes. Then again, it wouldn't be the vintage head without the vintage paint job to match, now would it? Then just pose him in the original battle-ready "come at me bro" stance...?

Well, that's a positive way to look at it.

I'd agree that Brock is a bit punk rock in his approach, which is a good thing IMO. He's got some thick skin and understands fans are going to have a wide array of different opinions. Just look at his last reply. He's a good sport.

Looks like I missed a email from Sideshow last week informing me my figure will be shipped once my final flexpay was done on the 5th. So hopefully it'll be shipping tomorrow in time for the weekend!
