Hachiman does look incredible. A definite purchase for me.

I’m waffling on Hachiman. I told myself I was only doing Cats and Mutants, and so far I’ve stuck to that. But man, he’s cool.
Please check out my custom figures. The first few stink but I get better.

Wily-Kit looks great too. Much bigger than the Mattel version perhaps? Though, I'm not a fan of her winking head... it should have been an open-mouth battle head.

Shiner is one of those figures that I had as a kid, so he holds some nostalgic value for me... plus, his crossed arms look cool.

Alluro... meh. (I'm sorry... the Lunataks unfairly get all of my TC anger because I blame them for the downfall of the cartoon series. I just never liked them.)
I mean, there are almost as many episodes after the Lunataks debut as before and the show was renewed twice after they debuted.

I think Thundercats did pretty well. Silverhawks didn't even make enough of an impact for people to remember the first season roster additions and I doubt most people remember any of the Tiger Sharks villains.

Well I ordered Ratar-O because I believe he worked with the Mutants… and Hachiman could fit with an independent villains display. If there are any others

    To be sure.

For me personally, the show took a steep dive after the Lunataks were introduced... and, apparently, they weren't too well-received because they ended up bringing Mumm-Ra back as the main villain.

He starts off as a villain... only because Mumm-Ra tricks him.

Eventually, he becomes (and remains) a good guy.

Exactly! And I think that’s kind of a common thing in Thundercats, isn’t it? There’s a misunderstanding but the guy we thought was bad ended up as a friend….isn’t that how the Snowman and Mandora episodes went? You could do a little display just with this idea.

So I’ve been looking at Thundertank reviews and it seems like there’s a trend… small reviewers who just like toys and like to show videos of them for their 1,000 or so subscribers love it. Bigger “YouTubers” seem to think there are major problems with it. Seems like a case of people compromised by the YouTube algorithm and either exaggerating or casting honesty aside to drive engagement.

The usual suspects on YouTube LOVE the tank. They got that free sample itch. But honestly if people enjoy the tank; I’m happy for them. It’s big and it’s bulky and fun.

There’s just too much wrong and laziness behind what went into it for me to appreciate it.

Brian was warned several times the hatch had a fan logo. He didn’t change it. He was warned when raising the height of the rear to adjust to back treads to be elevated above the front claw. Nadda. The lines on the tank are nothing like animation. Nothin. The final even has a ton of holes in the front face to hold the canopy…. This could have been a side peg or friction.

Truth is, when an issue is brought up, super7 brush it off. They have your money and that’s that. Take it or leave it motto is what pushed me away from their ultimates. So long as people like that one guy who does interviews just keep smiling and singing to Brian, people will always get 50 percent of what should be.

The LJN mumm-ra was even glossed over by the YouTube loyalists and has the wrong bicep…. No one said a word. Lion-o even ended up with the wrong boots.

Despite the positive or negative reviews of the Thundertank, my opinion of it is still the same. It may not be perfect, but it still looks great and really is a great toy BUT...IMO it is not worth the money. $500? Nope. I paid less than that for Galactus and he's awesome and well worth the money. No complaints about him at all. There's no way that the tank should be more.

If it ever went on sale and I could get it for $300 than maybe but I don't see it ever hitting that.

My main issue with the T-Tank (other than price) is its display value... meaning that it takes up a LOT of horizontal real estate in a display and doesn't allow for all of that space above to be occupied sensibly.

With something like Castle Grayskull, you can pile figures up on, around, and in the vertical display piece and it makes for a nice-looking, sensible display. The T-Tank could look silly with a bunch of figures pied up on top of it...
