So Kevin Smith has basically all-but confirmed the voice cast is set, and that he thinks it will break the Internet once it’s revealed. Revelation is clearly a lot further along than we first thought. I'm guessing this means it will come out sometime in 2020.

No it doesn't mean that at all. Voice recordings can be done well before animation is done or finished.

Are any of the original voice actors still alive? Perhaps one or two will lend their voices to the show.

John Erwin (He-Man), Alan Oppenheimer (Skeletor, Man-At-Arms), Melendy Britt (She-Ra, Catra), and Erika Scheimer (Angella) are all still alive.

Linda Gary (Teela, Sorceress), Lou Scheimer (Orko), and Geoge DiCenzo (Bow, Hordak) have passed.

I'm completely open to an all-new voice cast with no cameos.

John Erwin is retired from the business and a recluse, so that really only leaves Alan Oppenheimer from the original show (not counting Erika who did some of the kid voices and wasn't exactly a great voice actress). He doesn't have to be Skeletor, but I wouldn't mind Alan in a supporting role.

    Thanks for the info

I suppose it is possible some of those could be involved in some capacity.

Well, I think Alan, Melendy and Erika should be involved in some form o capacity no matter what
plus some A-list would be cool like The Rock?
    maybe Dolph?
"The Most Powerful Man in the Universe..."
    "Where Hope seems Lost..."
    "Good Journey!"
"I was summoned on the future..."
"A Hero shall emerge to protect Eternia..."

Maybe he got some A-list Voice Over actors like Tara Strong, Mark Hamill, Tom Kenny, Nolan North, etc.

    How will he man look?
That is something I want to know most.

Will he get a new design or like the 80s?

He better be depicted with his iconic 80's look, and all indications so far show that direction.

A new look is okay...as long as it doesn't end up like Lion-O's 2010 new look.

He doesn't need a new look.

Agreed, updating it is fine but he should ‘t get a “new” look ā la New Adventures.

He-Man’s look is too iconic to mess with. Obviously a new art style means it’ll look different but it still needs to be a muscular man with furry boots and a furry loincloth and a harnass.

I think he needs a bit of a new look rather than just looking like his 80's counterparts. Although not to the extremes of New Adventures.

I think it depends on what he means by different. Different from Filmation? If so, I think yes, I’d hope for He-Man to look a bit grittier like in the comics or the Classics figure. But I don’t think that they should stray away from him being a muscular bloke in a furry loincloth with a harnass and wavy medium length blonde hair. No ponytail BS, no pants(!!!). Stay faithful to the fundamentals and if you don’t, he better be awesome!

I think they should do away with the harness and just give him some armour on his chest, shoulder, forearms and boots.
But yes a grittier look. Maybe something more like King Greyskull or Thor rather than the Prince Valiant haircut.

I actually liked the NA He-Man look even the ponytail buy I thought it was a bit too drastic of a change.

I Like Snake Armor He-man the best. The new 52 He-man had a great design. I prefer He-man to have pants or at least more clothes on.

I liked Skeletor's movie and more armoured NA designs.
The sad fact is a lot of the classic MOTU designs are really silly looking and really need chnaged.

Thankfully you guys aren't running this show. I feel we're safe with Kevin Smith. He gets it.
