Main headline is that we may be only 6 months away from seeing it!!
So Kevin Smith didn't quit smoking even after surviving a heart attack?
Now I'm a liitle bit more worried about the future of the show.

I don't think I've seen anywhere that it’s coming out in 2020. This recent banner that was spotted at MIPCOM seems to indicate that Revelation will premier in 2021, although the banner doesn't actually say Revelation, just MOTU. Or maybe they mean the movie, and that the Sony/Netflix thing is a done deal?

So the show is 3D? Does that mean like as in a Pixar-like CG animation?

No way, judging by Castlevania release schedule.

I hope this will be great but if I set my hopes really low then I shouldn't be disappointed.

He quit smoking cigarettes. But he claims that he had smoke some trees before he had his heart attack and that the doctors claim that's what saved his life because the herb keep him calm

I think these 26 eps are the entirely run of the series and the first couple of episodes (first season)are for 2020 ,not 2021

So the ones he was smoking in a recent interview were not some ordinary ones?

They’re marijuana most likely, yes, cutting through euphemisms.

Many of the health impacts are different. Honestly, aside from slowed reaction time/impaired judgment (ie. you shouldn’t think about driving a car on a heavy dosage), the main common issue is the carbon monoxide from the burning paper.

Marijuana lowers heart rate and as far as I’m aware is better on the cardiovascular system than cigarettes with tobacco, which are a stimulant. Both drugs tend to show some clinical promise at treating depression and anxiety but the tobacco elevates the heart rate whereas the marijuana lowers it. Generally.

Smoking is not the best delivery mechanism. Vaping has a lot of untested elements and will vary a lot based on hardware and source. The ideal is probably going to be a big regulated lab or pharmacy and relatively low heat or no heat uncompressed aerosol techniques (low wattage heat, spray, or sonic vibration) or tinctures under the tongue. Hopefully a lot of this gets sorted out. The most dangerous technologies are not the ones used by typical users but the safest technologies are ALSO not widely used.

Marijuana is less risky than tobacco. Regulated and inspected vaping is safer than unregulated vaping or smoking.

I think overall, Smith has probably added years back to his life with lifestyle changes. I hope that this whole current environment doesn’t lead to Smith, Kristen Bell, Aubrey Plaza, or other users of fairly light, currently legal, regulated stuff going to jail or being pushed back into less healthy stuff. These guys are not hard partiers like Woody Harrelson but are largely just looking for an as-needed anti-anxiety/depression hit.

This is all probably better suited to the tar swamp sub forum.

If the show is going to have an anime feel then I wonder if there will be figures produced to match the show (Origins does not look like the concept art seen on the first page of this thread)?

This is why I really want the design to be more similar to the original Filmation produced CG commercial...

This particular style still looks like the Origins line and it would be a perfect way to pick up where the original show left off...

I'm still not feeling the concept art we've been shown. Nothing is particularly wrong with it, but it just doesn't have that special (read: classic) MOTU feel, imo.

I would LOVE for the MOTU cartoon to look like that.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but I think the days of 'comic book style', 'realistic' animation like that are long gone.

I prefer realistic animation. A lot of shows with exaggerated and stylized animation do not really transition that well to toy form.
As much as I liked the TMNT 2012 cartoon the designs were awful and made for some pretty ugly looking toys.

It would be awesome if it looked like that. Reminds me of the Frazetta cartoon "Fire & Ice".

I feel that way, too. JUSTICE LEAGUE was an awesome cartoon with great stories, but I HATE the 'animated style' figures. They are top heavy, chicken legged, and very prone to falling over. I guess they're great if you leave them unopened.

I’m hoping for the same style as the Dreamwork’s POP.

Those DC Collectables Batman: The Animated Series style figures are absolutely beautiful with how faithful they are to the animation and they look amazing displayed together but they look awful and don't display well with any other realistic action figures with normal proportions.
Even the style of the MOTU 200X figures looked a bit off when compared to other figures.

I'd prefer something like Ornclown posted, but I like the posted possible art style so far that is in the OP. I like the first He-Man head more than the second one.

No offense to that show's fans, but I hope it looks nothing like that.

Me too. Haha. Not getting the appeal that all these dudes are getting from that show.

Ditto. I do not see how He-Man could even work in that style.

I was just joking - in case it was lost in my subtle She-Ra with shifty eyes.

I will be honest though - anything can grow on me. I was dissapointed in the 200x MYP MOTU art style and have since grown to love it over time.
