Well, I suppose I did leave that out. My apologies. I'm not a fan of NA, so I tend to not really think about it. In my own head-canon, its just not there at all.

But I like it fine if I pretend it's not a He-Man show. I do try and defend it when people call it a "bad" show because I actually don't think it is. As its own thing.

Sounds great! Thank God for spoiler reviews. I'm even more excited to see it now because it really sounds like most of that is going to be really, really up my alley.

I always thought NA He-Man's pants were more like denim jeans, much like Bow in POP. Men in jeans rock!

Yeah but where are the seams and pockets, though? I always just assumed it was spandex. If they were jeans they'd at least have drawn his fly, they couldn't have been THAT lazy.

It's an interesting look. Not my favorite but I do very much want the Classics version action figure, just for the heck of it.

They did the same with Fred in Scooby Doo, only in the later movies and TV shows (What's New & Mystery Inc) did his pants look more jeans-like.

I've never once bothered to study Fred's pants, I've always been too busy checkin' out Daphne.

I thought it was denim too .

I always thought NA He-Man's pants were more like wrestling tights but I guess if they were blue denim it would make more sense as they would probably be more durable.

It wasn’t written as such. It wasn’t marketed as such. And anyone who watches the episodes will see it has tons of contradictions to Filmation.

I remember some folk tried thinking it could be a prequel to Filmation. Though that doesn’t hold up either.

All true, but some seem to amalgamate it into one continuity anyway, perhaps because MYP clearly took a hefty inspiration from the Filmation series. A fan's prerogative, I would guess.

A rather big contradiction though is Adam being able to change without the sword. In pretty much every other TV and comic Adam has needed the sword to transform.

Not familar with this scene or episode. Also it really only shows Cringer and Adam...does Adam change without the sword?

Let's not forget that they took away Cringer's and Battle Cat's voice in MYP which back then I applauded back then because I hated Filmation's shaky scared old man voice he had. Then Revelations turned around and made it Mandatory for him to speak and NAILED IT!! So far I don't believe Battle Cat has talked in Rev and that's awesome cause when it's time to sick a tiger on your enemies the time for talking is over.

I recall more than one media book or comic describing the sword as semi sentient that would burn the hand of any evil character that would dare to touch it .

Remember Secret of the sword first few minutes ? The Sword of Protection was floating in the air leading Sorceress to the correct portal of Etheria .

This is not consistent with the first episodes where breaking the sword in two meant all magic in the universe was dying . Is it important or not ?
