DC Fontana, Writer of "Battlecat", RIP

Incredible television script writer and story editor, D. C. Fontana, passed away yesterday. Many fans know her for her work on the original Star Trek series. But He-Man and She-Ra fans know her best for her story in the Filmation He-Man episode "Battlecat."

She passed away today at the age of 80. She will be missed.

It's horrible to lose amazing talent, especially someone who helped define the world of Star Trek which promoted and still promotes such a diverse and incredible story. We're all honored to have had her create one of the most charming MOTU episodes of our childhood.
Hope to see you at Power-Con 2020!

If you're into Star Trek, too... she also wrote a great Star Trek book going into Vulcan history called, "Vulcan's Glory." Great book

I watched "Battlecat" tonight with my daughters - a fun, well written episode. Granted, I've never been a massive Trek fan (Wars has always been my go-to Star franchise), she led a full & talented professional career and will be missed.

Such sad news. She worked on Star Trek and did so much great stuff for it. Battlecat is an episode I've always loved. It really explains and shows why the bond between Adam and Cringer is as strong as it is.
