Take all this with a grain of salt and maybe file it under rumour for now, but it seems pretty legit: According to reports in MOTU FB groups, Mattel has 'finally' shown up with MOTU product at the Nuremberg Toy Fair!

Unfortunately, the exhibits shown 'are intended only for the eyes and ears of the trade audience.'

However, the report goes on to say 'That's why we can only tell you after our tour: start saving '

I haven't heard much but I am excited German community reps get a first-look at Origins, and I think it's excellent Mattel Germany is building a relationship with the German and European fan base. They deserve this, and it speaks of great things to come.
I hope they go further and give German fans unique product from time to time. I think it is only fair considering how much unique and exclusive product we have gotten for years here in the USA.


I also hope it doesn't stop there and that the Latin American fan base gets representation as well. The Latino fan base for MOTU is huge, and I hope they get their fair share of MOTU as well.

I’ve said it before but I really hope they continue mixing up the original figure releases and not adhere to original release order. I’d like to see releases all over the place. Would love a Laser Light Skeletor and Laser Power He-Man before the other variants for instance. Not to mention unreleased or new characters thrown in every so often.

If that list of waves from what was shown at the German Toy Fair is accurate, it will skip around based on what might be tooling available from what’s used in the WWE line. It’s gonna be a very strong launch from the looks of it for the first year!!!

Okay, if that's the case, I'm buying everything. It looks like we're getting my favorites fairly early on (Faker, Moss Man, Trap Jaw, Zodak, and Keldor, who sounds like he'll look like Anti-Keldor from the Masters of the Multiverse comic, which I absolutely love). Also, do you know how mail aways work? I'm a little too gen Z to have experience with that.

Also, I'm surprise by the lack of Horde/PoP stuff. Like, is there some kind of licensing thing or are they trying to keep the brands separate.

Finally, please bring on Castle Grayskull. The bigger the better imo.

Thanks for sharing. That's really an interesting and intriguing list you have up there. So no Ram-Man, or Battle Armor Skeletor, and yet a mail away Faker?!... Does Teela come with the Snake armor outfit?

I'm happy to see some of the vehicles and Castle-Grayskull are in there! But not too happy about another hard to obtain Con exclusive!

But generally that's not a bad start at all... I'll be buying everything I can find.

I wonder what CG would come with. Like, I personally wouldn't need all the extra sculpted stuff, especially if it keeps costs down. Like, the turret and the throne are probably the only essential items. I probably wouldn't display it with the extra floor even if we get it. Also, I really hope it's the same size and keeps the doors.

I'd be interested to see what their take on Ram Man would be. I note he's the only 1983 figure that didn't make the list. I would guess due to unique tooling.

My word, that line up sounds incredible. If true, Mattel really are going all-out with the Origins line. They clearly want to bring MOTU back to the mainstream. And Stinkor! My favourite!

The lack of pop is concerning. Another sdcc exclusive that is actually an eBay exclusive that sits at $200 is not doing much to win me over. I like the vehicles, of course I need to see them first. And again, I’ll eat my hat if it’s the motuc castle. I want a vintage sized castle for vintage sized figures. I tell you I’m trying to like these but I hate that new he-man head. Again maybe in person I’ll change my mind and I hope so. If not I will hope my son likes them so I can support the brand. Strange days these are indeed.

Also is this exclusive to Walmart? That will make it difficult for many to obtain these if they are.

And just to echo others, I hope an origins forum can get up and running soon.

Good question. I'm guessing those are delayed because so many would require a lot of unique tooling? Although at least Hordak and Grizzlor could use some parts with He-Man and Beast Man.
