Classics/200x-style Evil Seed
As you can tell, I love independent villains. I always wanted more of a classic rogue's gallery for He-Man. Many of these (almost all) are new to 5.5. Many also make natural enemies to He-man's allies. It isn't that I don't like Horde or Snakemen but "new to 5.5" excites me more.
Vehicles:
Prototype Battleram. I think it looks better than either the production model or the cartoon.
Playsets:
Grayskull. (Obviously)
Jungle Adventure.
Skeletor's Slime Pit.
This was a prototype retooled as Snake Mountain. Rather than tread on Super7 with a Snake Mountain released hot on the heels of theirs, I'd like a Skeletor throne room/slime pit modeled on 200x but more fleshed out without competing with Classics Snake Mountain. The Slime Pit could be bigger than 200x and include Skeletor's planning table all as a "Snake Mountain" interior set whereas a jungle adventure set works equally well for neutral bad guys or WWE figures. I like the idea of shifting from a focus on specific Eternian locations (which might fail or fly over kids' heads) to more scenario play at a smaller scale.
Stuff like Arctic Zipline with Ice Armor He-Man or Coral Reef with some kind of neon piranha Mer-Man or Desert Showdown with Rioblast. If kids don't play outside, putting fun scenarios in playsets allows for multiple dioramas/play scenarios that reinforce He-Man as a globe trotter. Forbidden Temple! Haunted forest! Creature cave! You get the idea. Environmental play shouldn't be limited to He-Man and Skeletor either and a Frost Gun Man-at-Arms and Snow Leopard Teela or Gunslinger Beast Man or Forest Crone Evil-Lyn or the like let main characters stay in circulation.
Rather than repeat 200x's error with He-Man/Skeletor glut, I'd rather years have themes like Transformers does it. Maybe 2022 is subtitled Oceans of Eternia! Half the figures would be normal continuations but you get Scubattack Skeletor and Piranha King Mer-Man and Deep Dive Man-at-Arms for 25-50% of the line as a sub-focus. The Skysled gets retooled as a Scubasled with a dome helmet for figures and seahorse head and darker base with a seashell or two molded on! Then 2023 could be Polar Extremes and have Teela in Snow Leopard deco riding a Battle Bear and Snow Owl Stratos. But you're still doing Clawful and Rattlor and so on mixed in.
