For the past month and a half I stopped actively making trips to retail stores to look for Origins or Masterverse. I got so sick of seeing loads of Clamp Champs, Ram Mans, Battle Cats, Panthors, Sky Sleds, and Wave 5 figures clogging the shelves for months on end. Even crazy discount sales couldn't clear them out back in November. Yesterday I happened to be in a mall with a Walfart and Toy R Us for other reasons, but I decided I'd quickly glance at what MOTU stuff is on the shelves these days after my intentional absence. Sure enough - all the exact same crap as before. It's very dispiriting as a collector to not see any new product on shelves after many MONTHS. I'm so done with this BS. Thankfully with BBTS and many other retailers I have the option of pre-ordering. While the shipping costs are annoying, at least you get stuff THAT YOU ACTUALLY WANT delivered right to your doorstep instead of the incredible frustration of wasting countless hours and gas driving around to various stores only to wind up empty handed and having to endure the irritating presence of Walmartians to boot.

I find it amazing how Canada got flooded with Ram Man and Clamp Champ and last week was the first time I’ve ever seen either one on any peg in any store.
I used to travel many weekends many miles out of town looking for stuff only to see the exact same things that are in my area. I am too old for this junk anymore. The amount of time spent looking and the cost of the gas negates the shipping charges in most cases. There is no thrill of the hunt if you never bring anything home. Thank goodness for Entertainment Earth and BBTS, my first plan of strategy for getting the figures in my hand.
found a stridor at one target today and a deluxe triklops at another. both locations i had to give them the DCPI # to get them out of the back. each store only had 1 each so they were obviously selling them to other people out of the back as well. i just dont get why they dont put them on the shelves as theres tons of empty space in both stores. just happy that it only took me one trip of searching to get them.
Found a Stridor at Target last night in Florida. Didn't know he was even out in stores yet.
I also found stridor at target today. The box is beat all to crap though..
Stridor and Masterverse Tri-Klops are starting to trickle out in the Dallas area too. I scored both at a local Target. Although, like many have stated here, I did have to show an employee the DCPI number and they grabbed them from the back. They're both awesome! I really can't wait for Masterverse Trap Jaw!
Found Stridor in Target in Austin today and got to use the 15% coupon
Got Stridor, Buzz Off at my local Target yesterday. They had some Ram Man's, Mosquitors, Sorceress, Jitsu, Fisto, 2nd Evil Lynn. I was actually surprised.
This is my closest Walmart. Been like this since thursady. I’m hoping they sell so the Sun-Man wave hits. We have 15 or so snake playsets in top stock and the bottom shelf has a ton of the 10” deluxe he-man. Haven’t had the masterverse in this store in about 2 weeks. Rest of the aisle is pretty empty. I won’t even show the hot wheels and lego aisle. It’s just to……sad.

Stopped at a couple of targets, tons of masters, no masterverse trapjaw but I saw a few stridor’s ,but I’ll stick with BBTS for that, they’ve been good to me.
Comedian on the matty forums.
guys is this forum basically the closest thing we have to a place to go for news about what they're releasing & when?
some guy on YT says they're about to release Wun-Dar and some Character called Kol-Darr? where do i READ about this stuff?
where does Mattel announce "Mattel Creations" releases?
i also don't wanna get caught in another deal like the 2021 power con exclusives which i found out about a day too late
thanks
There are quite a few very active MOTU Facebook groups. The latest news always leaks there first (even with lots of pictures!). Apart from that, toynewsi.com is very on the ball with all the current action figure news. I find this forum to be slower than those other outlets. It's not what it once was...
Still haven’t seen a single origins figure in store here in Australia yet. Just drove 40 minutes to the closest store that displayed figures as “in stock” online. Get there and the guy said he got 4 figures in yesterday and they had all sold out.
Fun times.
Found Ram-man, Mosquitor and Stridor in stores the last few days, and thanks for the forum was able to return and get with the 15% discount! That's all!![]()

Found a line stridor earlier but passed on him because the box was torn. Also looked like another refresh of wave 7

Got my first ever STRIDOR! I never had this as a kid, but I remember my friend's did among a ton of other MOTU goodness. I think they really captured the vibe here. Was just curious what the extra helmet was for? Comic version? Found the Sorceress too for good measure.

Also, new here, what does VMU stand for - is that like the Vac-Metal stuff liked Flying Fists and Thunder Punch?
Wal-Mart restocked Wave 6 with 3-4 of each figure on the peg with the exception of Webstor (all were gone). Webstor always goes quickly in my area. They also restocked BA He-Man and BA Skeletor (around 8 of each) along with 20+ Battlecats, several Wind Raiders and one Flocked Panthor. Hoping to see wave 7 soon.

I was at my one and only local Target earlier today. They had 1 Buzz-Off, a few Ram Mans, and 2 Mosquitors.
I already have a Ram Man and I don't care about vintage Buzz Off after 200X, but I picked up a Mosquitor.
I have to say I've never given two ***** about Mosquitor. He basically stole Leech's gimmick (power drain), but he's a bug.
I understand Mosquitor fans loved the blood window action feature on the vintage figure, but I never saw or had the vintage figure.
The MOTUC Mosquitor was a pile of missed opportunities. No 200x blood tanks, gummy wrists that can tear easily, etc.
The 4H couldn't decide in a direction to go and instead he became a lackluster mix that I don't think truly satisfied anybody.
MOTUC Mosquitor was underwhelming, and he was my first version of the character, not counting the 200x staction.
However the Origins Mosquitor is...awesome?
This figure is everything the MOTUC figure should have been.
2 heads, a functioning blood chest, rocker ankles, a swappable hand, and the blood draining effect that can attach to another figure.
He's fun to pose and play with, and I don't care about vac metal or action features in general but the blood window is fun to pump.
I think Origins Mosquitor is one of the best figures in the line, and the best version of the character we've gotten.
Dare I say I might be a Mosquitor fan now because of Origins?![]()

Found 3 Stratos, 3 Buzz Offs, 1 Sorceress, and 2 Jitsus at Target today. Left with 5 figures and the beginings of our Andreenid and Avionian armies. Did not buy Jitsu because we have 3 on order (one for each kid and one to steal the gold-trimmed boots for Mr. T).
Went to the Target and Wal-Mart in South Austin near MoPac (first trip to either since before the holidays) and came away with quite a haul! Grabbed the CGI show Evil-Lyn and Man-At-Arms/vehicle two pack (left the CGI Eternia Minis two packs featuring Painthor and Skeletor and He-Man and Battle Cat... they're cool, but I don't have need for all the extras of the main two. They also had a ton of the snake attack playset or whatever it's called, the jumbo sized figures of He-Man and Man-At-Arms, for Origins they had some Wind Raiders, quite a few flocked Panthors, and still a bunch of Wave One Masterverse stuff including Battle Cat).
Over at Target I grabbed Jitsu, Stratos and Buzz-Off from the latest Origins wave (they had multiples of everyone EXCEPT Sorceress... someone made off with all of her, I guess!). Spotted a slew of other Origins product there: Land Shark, Wind Raider, Stridor, the Battlefield Warriors set, Origins of Evil set, a bunch of Deluxes like Mosquitor, Clamp Champ, Ram Man, Battle Armor Skeletor... heck, if I were just getting into this line this trip would have been the motherlode of MOTU shopping trips. As far as Masterverse, they had Savage He-Man & Orko, Faker, and the wave one stuff (again). I also spotted the CGI show toys there as well (the vehicle two-packs and He-Man and Skeletor single carded figures).
Yesterday I hit up Monkey See Monkey Do on South Congress- their stock is dwindling since my last visit, but they do still have Faker, Ninjor, Evil-Lyn from Origins and a good amount of Funko Pops MOTU stuff (Snake Man-At-Arms, Skeletor on Night Stalker, etc).
Looking for any specific Classics figures? Let me know via PM what you might be looking for and I'll look through some boxes and see if we can help each other out!
