I remember one day in 2002 going to Target, completely unaware that any reboot MOTU line was coming out, and seeing an aisle just filled with the 200x stuff. Just a wall of red.

Sadly, I have no expectations that in 2020, here in a few days, I'm going to have that same experience going into Wal-Mart.

I joined the Origins Facebook group some have mentioned here, and it just increases my disappointment, seeing everyone post their findings, all while knowing there is zip in the Central Indiana area.

My Walmart looks like they are barely stocking any action figures. Empty space galore. And when not empty, barely anything in a space.

Same here. Apparently, retail space is free these days. You can bring in some of your own stuff to sell and just put it on the shelves. Plenty of space for all.

The line doesn't even officially come out until the first.

I mean, it won't be an entire aisle, but they're dedicating six pegs and shelf space to it, and that's fairly rare for a budget boys line.

I’m starting to think patience is the best bet. The single figures have not hit the Midwest at all unless I missed a post so I’m guessing it will be lucky if I find them even on August 1 if not a week or two past that.

Not only to find them but to find the card unpunched.

Advice from my personal (successful) weekend experience.

Using Brickseek has been very reliable for me. There is a key to it though.

Using it for the He-Man and Skeletor SKU works perfectly. Using it for the other characters only works when you use the assortment SKU (CLICK HERE).

He-Man is in a case of just He-Man. Same with Skeletor. The others are mixed one per case (4 total) which is why you need to use the assortment SKU on them.

I went to eight Walmart stores yesterday. All showed them in stock. Four of them had the figures on the shelves. The other stores were holding them back for the reset (or may have not gotten a chance to put them out yet), but it was confirmed that they had them.

Just really hoping that this ends up being more like actual retail, and less like the Big Lots Classics hunt. As fun as that was, I’m hoping for enough of these to go around. That said, it’s like these places don’t even want to make money when it comes to how they stock toys nowadays. Case in point: the new GI Joe Classified line. How could they not realize that they could sell 10 xs the number of Snake Eyes figures than what they stocked? Hopefully, this line won’t suffer the same fate. I guess we will see in a few days.

My biggest question on these figures is why only 4 figures per case?

Why not an assortment of 8 pieces per box, with one Skeletor and He-Man case (4 each)
and another assortment of 8 pieces with the standard character mix?
(3 Man-At-Arms, 3 Beast Man, 1 Teela and 1 Evil-Lyn), or something along those lines.

At least this way there are some figures left instead of pegs being empty
as soon as someone buys one set.

    Here's Skeletor. I don't have He-Man.

    While I'm at it:

    Battle Cat

    Sky Sled and Prince Adam

Has anyone had any luck finding the single figures in the Midwest (Illinois) area?

It seems like it’s completely dead when it comes to those.

I actually did a store search and Battle cat popped up in stock near me. When I got to the store, the isles looked like they hadn't been stocked for months. There was practically nothing on the pegs or shelves. No battle cat or anything. This was at a Walmart in Skokie Illinois.

I have been using Brickseek like others have and hit 7 stores on Sunday night where it stated they were in stock. Only 1 store had Skeletor on the shelf. I'm thinking the stores have them and they are out back however they may be going by the 8/1/2020 release date before they hit the floor.
On the other hand, my local store had Undertaker showing "Out of Stock," but I visited early this morning and they had put a full case of Wave 3 out for WWE.
Be patient gang, they are coming very soon!

Battle Cat and sky sled showed in stock about 30 minutes from me. Went to check it out and talked to a guy there. He looked in the back and said there was too much to go through right now (he offered to look i did not ask him to check it out). He was mostly curious i think. He said they’re doing a huge reset so i think most of the managers are just waiting for the reset day to put anything out as they’d have to redo the aisle. I guess check every morning just in case it’s earlier than Saturday

I live in East Ky and found Battle Cat and sky sled on a pallet in the middle of the aisle, each at different Walmart’s. Both times I asked if I could open the boxes and both times they didn’t care.
This is me wishing Mattel didn't hate me.

Still nothing here in Wichita. I'm really hoping they stock them at least for the August 1st release date.

Actually, do we know if they're going to be regular aisle toys or endcap toys?

I mean, MOTU WWE got an endcap/sometimes middle of the walkway display, although that didn't show up until after Christmas over here, so it lasted all of like a week.

I know I’m in the minority but I think these will be readily available very very soon. I know people are getting frustrated but they haven’t officially even been released yet. But of course I lived through the debacle that was the 200X. I have PTSD symptoms from my search for Mekaneck lol.

I've had flashbacks to that era also...going in at midnight to raid the pallets.

I do think I enjoy ordering them online from BBTS or EE better. Plus, it's supporting a smaller business.

I haven’t seen much of the figures. I saw someone bought Skeletor at I think it was the Orland Park store. The ones I’ve been haunting doesn’t have figures yet just Sky Sleds and Battle Cats. It’s ok cause I did get He-Man and Skelly from online when they first popped up.

On a side note the one department manager who knows his stuff said on some merchandise report they get, they have one of those shipper pallets coming in. I wasn’t super excited, we pretty much know what’s on it just in more quantity.

Thanks for the info. It’s really hard to judge whether or not to follow brick seek. I see a couple people post in various places that they found the figures at locations that said they were out of stock.

I know they’re not officially out yet but decided to go check my local Walmart A little while ago(Centereach Long Island) I’m not feeling very optimistic at all. The toy aisles were bare as can be. Not sure if this has something to to with the kids being stuck in the house and parents just buying them loads of toys or what. Have a familiar feeling that a majority of us will never find them all in stores
