Wilford Brimley passes away at age 85!

    https://deadline.com/2020/08/wilford...85-1203001716/

You may remember him from John Carpenter's The Thing, Cocoon, The Firm, Hard Target, Quaker Oat commercials, Blacksmith in Kung Fu, The Waltons, The China Syndrome, Borderline, 10 to Midnight, Ewoks Battle for Endor, Remo Williams and more.

RIP to a fine character actor.

So sorry to hear this. He was a fine actor with a great run. So at ease and comfortable in his own skin. Tremendous in The Firm and The Thing, but I also loved his understated comic take on Postmaster General Henry Atkins in a Seinfeld Episode.

    RIP, good sir.

What about in John Carpenter's The Thing, Cocoon, Hard Target and more? he did great performances there and remember those Oatmeal commercials?

R.I.P. I probably remember him best for Cocoon, the Ewok movie, and the Quaker Oats commercials. I also watched Our House some when it was on.

    R.I.P.

We just watched Hard Target fully for the first time a few days ago.
He was great in it and I enjoyed him in Ewoks: The Battle For Endor.

Yes. I mentioned The Thing. The others you quoted were also noteworthy. I loved his oatmeal commercials, too.

Noa Briqualon remains one of my favorite Star Wars characters ever.

I would love a Black Series 6" figure of Noah and the rest of the Battle For Endor cast.

It still amazes me that he was only 50 when filming Cocoon.

I was just coming here to say this. To me, he's been an old man since the 1980s, and when I heard he died, I thought, he must have been pushing 100. Shocked that he was only 85.
