Wouldn't a critical error faker be changing from He-Man flesh tones back to blue, to show the illusory cloaking is going bzzt?

Has anyone tried putting Keldor's cape on 200X skeletor? Is the color close enough? I haven't had time to crack mine open and check yet and I don't want to get my hopes up

I have not; the two pack started at MYR 230 (About $55) and is now about RM 300 (About $75) here and the fact that half of that is Kronis (Trapjaw without the fun bits with a really rushed looking headsculpt) it just didn't seem worth it to me.

- Whiplash head
- Trap Jaw mechanical right arm
- Rattlor torso, left scaled arm, tail
- Mosquitor legs

Colors will still be whack-a-doo but what can ya do?

I am waiting on a loose Mosquitor in the mail but even when he arrives, I still haven't gotten Rattlor. Need to ship my Pile of Loot!

The "lost" vintage wave is shaping up Slamurai not shown due to lack of Ninjor, but he could be made by giving Ninjor He-Man's arms and lower body.

According to Battle Ram Blog he might have been intended to have the He-Man arms and lower body, but we'll never really know. It's just a matter of if Mattel does make him what they want to do. The problem is the "sock" foot has fur molded onto it so they would have to put Beast Man's foot and John Cena's shin.

Some of the WWE figures have straight sock boots and feet. I want to say Sting was the first? No boot laces. And the $150 anniversary set reused some WWE parts.

Just checking my Sting and you're right, but he does have defined boots where as the John Cena shin is more flush with the leg.

I am somewhat disappointed that they haven't used the WWE bare arm with any Origins that I can think of.

The Lords of Power He-Man should have had no bracer on his left arm to be prototype (and minicomics) accurate.

There's also been some inconsistency with how they "update" things.

For example, MOTU Origins He-Man has painted bracers like Classics but MOTU Origins Man-at-Arms has unpainted bracers, unlike Classics.

I think they could easily do a reissue of a lot of early wave stuff down the line with subtle changes.

They could give Man-at-Arms painted bracers that match Classics, for example, and the red belt dot from the palace guard.

Likewise, if they went back and created a left arm guard for He-Man like the vintage toy and Classics figure, they could probably reissue He-Man, Faker, Anti-Eternia He-Man, Flying Fists He-Man, and Battle Armor He-Man. (Thunder Punch He-Man never had it.)

They could technically use this change on ANY toy that used the vintage He-Man arms but those were the only ones that had the larger left arm guard in Classics.

I also think it would lead to frustration (similar to what we had with revised knee women and at least three Buzz Saw Hordak variants) to simply issue those variants as running changes as retailers. I know with some of these variants, a retailer gets mixed stock and can't guarantee what people get. I had to buy most of the "running change" variants on the aftermarket where I could find photos of what I'm getting.

And straight reissues on a single card can pegwarm. Although maybe you could get away with a LoP He-Man with a bare left arm and LoP Skeletor and MAA with other tweaks to finish off the retail LoP variants.

But if they wanted to do a small vehicle or accessory pack like the Stilt Stalker or the Weapons Pak that needed a figure to bring it up to an assortment pricepoint, I think it would be really cool to get He-Man, AE He-Man, and Faker variants that have the vintage-style left arm with the bigger armor and maybe a few other tweaks like less bright hair or alternate face portraits. I get that this line has avoided unnecessary tooling costs but I think that alternate left arm could get five or so uses in gift sets.

I think a great way to do Faker would be a set that includes a standard Faker with the revised left arm and magenta armor, the alternate screaming He-Man head used a few places (or a Terminator-style exposed robot head -- vac metal?) as an accessory, and a Duplicat with magenta saddle. It doesn't straight up duplicate the existing Faker or Leo Faker with Duplicat but -- using the line's mix and match features -- it allows for a ton of customization, particularly as Faker is an army builder now. Just match Faker to the blue of the existing Fakers.

I have Powercon Faker with Duplicat but I'd buy two more if they changed his arm and armor color and had an alternate head portrait accessory.

But I REALLY think a Stilt Stalker or Tower Tools would get a huge nostalgia bump by coming packaged with He-Man with more muted blonde hair and the left arm armor. And people might buy multiple to simultaneously get He-Man heads and arms for a couple of figures AND multiple Tower Tools or Stilt Stalkers with other figures.

Honestly: with the Stilt Stalker, IMHO, it makes sense to do a figure, the Stilt Stalker, and the Power Sled as one package since SS and PS use the same chest armor in the same deco.


Or the Cliff Climber set with Man-at-Arms who gets:

The vintage no mustache face from the Palace Guard set. With the standard MAA helmet. (The PG set had the wrong helmet.)
Painted bracers like Classics.
Red dot on belt like Classics.


You could do the Scubattack with Skeletor and maybe give him bare monster feet like the card art and finally do an alternate head portrait with the more solid yellow and green with black highlights face deco from the vintage toy. Some people would probably buy multiple so they could outfit ALL their Skeletors with the vintage toy head and get the bonus of having 3-4 Scubattacks to outfit a whole platoon of Evil Warriors with.
