Chris here...
Yes that's true, I'm not used to the ways of Kickstarter, but taking it that November is when you effectively start making pledges for it?
I'd be interested in getting an ETA from the Archon Studios folks, I'd have thought 2022 was quite a lengthy wait?? But regardless, I will be backing it!

The cover artwork looks fantastic, but I need to see the actual gameplay with the game engine to know if it's worth getting.

Exactly, you can pledge the game on kickstarter as soon as it goes live. After campaign ends they (here Archon Studio) usually need some time to get all things together. When that is done the pledge manager opens. It's like a candy shop where you actually choose what you want to buy (core or all-in, additional extras...).But you have to pledge during the campaign to get access to the pledge manager later on. After the pledge manager closes you have to wait until everything is fully developed and finally shipped. This is the "waiting part" where communication is key (progress updates on a regular basis and answer questions in the comment section).
This is kickstarter in a nutshell.![]()
If you should have questions feel free to ask.

Chris here...
Yes please Mikey, and thanks as well Halopriest - I've got a veeeeeery vague idea how Kickstarter works as I've looked at other board games that have been released through it, and nearly backed one a couple of months ago - but I've never used it!![]()
And you bet Mikey, I'd love to teach you how to play RPG's - both the MOTU one that you've got / gonna be getting, and also I reckon you'd like Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) as well!![]()

As I've said, I've used Kickstarter numerous times, with musicians like Jon Peter Lewis, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Suzy Bogguss, Abby Travis, Susan Cowsill and more. You get a list of amounts you can choose to pledge from with certain benefits, for example a copy of a physical CD you wish to add to your collection and a digital download (as the basic package), and the more you are able to pledge the more perks you get. I don't know how things like games work, but I'm using music as my example because that's what my main experience is.![]()

Thanks Mikey, that's awesome!
Yeah as soon as I get the time I shall definitely be painting mine - at the moment any time I get with a paintbrush I'm spending on a 500-point Space Wolves army for Warhammer 40,000, but as soon as those are done I will be adding some colour to He-Man & BattleCat!

Thanks to my participation on Kickstarter, my name appears in the *thank you* credits on several albums in my collection, like Break The Silence by Jon Peter Lewis. I also have a few signed CD's and music books from a few artists, and an autographed guitar pick from Beth Nielsen Chapman.![]()

I have He-Man on Battle Cat already and now Skeletor on Panthor preordered as well. I love Archon Studio's quality plastics. Looking forward to these minis.
Just noticed this comment that I had previously overlooked.
It doesn't make sense to me to merge the He-Man (Heroic Warriors) and She-Ra (Great Rebellion) factions into one single “Masters of the Universe” faction (a name that refers not only to the good guys, by the way, but also to the evil Masters). Sure, they're both “good guys/gals”, but they're about as separate as you can get in MotU. In fact, they're so separate, that each legally belongs to a different intellectual property, and they can't be mixed together unless explicitly licensed so, which is why He-Man and friends are so conspicuously absent from Netflix She-Ra. Basically, they only appear together in crossovers (like some cartoon episodes and the Christmas special, apart from the Classics canon which is a general big crossover of everything).
In my view, there should be eight major factions, with pairs of heroic versus evil ones for each of the four main spacetime locations:
Eternian: Heroic Warriors vs Evil Warriors
Etherian: Great Rebellion vs Evil Horde
Preternian: Grayskull Warriors vs Snake Men
Tri-Solar: Galactic Guardians vs Space Mutants
Then, minor (sub)factions can be defined, either within those, in loose association with those, or as independents (such as the Eternian Royals, Mer-Manʼs minions, the Trollans, Shokoti, the Snake Clan and the Ape Clan, etc.),
Toyguru's Classics canon introduced some sui generis stuff, such as the Time Agents and the like. But that would seem to fit more as con-exclusive expansion stuff than main game material.
Netflix She-Ra, for its part, has majorly expanded the Motuverse with its addition of another fifth main spacetime location: Pretheria, with its pair of First Ones vs Horde Prime's Brotherhood factions. However, so far we've been given too little information about this era and its factions to properly characterize them. We would really need a prequel series to tell us that story in detail, rather than just the fragmentary sketches gleaned at through some flashbacks.

Point being, people are gonna want to team up He-Man and She-Ra against Skeletor and Hordak. The.averagr gamer wants a good v evil format and not a retelling of mythos and canon. Can both exist? Absolutely! But in an initial release, it's gonna be basic with hopeful expansions. I think it'll be He-Man v Skeletor. She-Ra and Hordak will be stretch goal expansions and so on. We'd be lucky to see early releases of any Snake Men or He-Ro or Mutants, etc.
