With Black Widow wallowing away in a dark corner of the movieverse, trying to wait-out the pandemic, I got to thinking...

Marvel Studios has released a total of 23 films that fall into the Marvel Cinematic continuum. (I think an argument could be made for the Blade trilogy and Ang Lee's HULK film as well, but I digress...)

Sure, there have been some duds along the way, but on the whole, the MCU is a fantastic thrill ride full of movies that are very re-watchable and fun.

I am tasking you to list your 5 (five) favorite MCU movies to date!

Thor: Ragnarok and the Infinity Saga are taking the crown...

It really makes me wonder how the landscape of the MCU would look now if the pandemic had struck before Endgame hit theaters...?

Never explained my picks.

Thor has always been one of my favorite characters. The first film worked well as an introduction to him, but the sequel just didn't work on several levels. One it was too busy trying to recreate the first film and took itself too seriously.

Aside real quick there are basically two well crafted Marvel tones, the more serious movie and the one that is much less serious. When they get it right and it works great with the character it works wonders.

Thor is a character going that route just feels almost pretentious, so when they went with the let's not take this serious at all route playing up on his out of touchness with modern reality they knocked the movie out of the park. Also just embracing the more let magic be magic and not super advanced technology helped alot also.

Guardians 1 and 2, I do in way put together. Gotg 1 started the more less serious take on a comic film and they again hit a great stride and the sequel is a great follow up. Sure Less of a surprise as we knew the tone they would be going for, which I think GotG 1 and Thor Ragnarok get so much praise they weren't expected.

And Infinity Saga and Endgame kind of hard to split these two up and why I didn't put them on the list like that, they are more tied to each other. It was great seeing them not fully tie up the MCU but they did have it make a nice package for what had come up to that point.
