I'm sure if you were selling one, you would have pointed out there was an issue when describing the item.
I mean - come on - this is pretty bad and wasn't included in the pics. It wasn't a 'bargain price' to start with.

it was not disclosed and I wouldn't have bought it otherwise. It was not ultra cheap - missing the 'vintage head' and was a fair price for that.
Now its not really fixed 'good as it should be' - its got 4 clicks now instead of 3 and unknown if it will hold.

If I were selling it, I would have disclosed the fault and included it in the photos. I've sold a few (facebook/gumtree) I no longer wanted and always pointed out each fault and gladly lost sales due to it. As a fellow collector - I know people get disheartened if its not what was expected.
Even going as far as confirming they know the faults before they paid me, as some missed the faults even though they were listed. I've had people pull out of the sale thanking me for pointing out the issues (you'd be surprised how many people dont read descriptions and look at all the photos).

The seller offered a return right off the bat when I asked if he knew about the issue - I suggested a part refund as it would have cost more in return postage that its worth. I accepted the first number he threw at me and left excellent feedback.
My thought was, I can display him with the 'damaged' armour section - which wasn't the intent. The saving made him worth keeping.

I took to the idea of fixing it after - not before - so there was no guarantee it could even work or make it worse. Though with the discount its worth attempting a repair, there was a bit of risk to the mechanism involved when using glue.
If I ever were to sell him, I'd disclose the repair and how I did it.

Sorry if I came across as being hard on the seller - I don't believe I was and the outcome was fair.

I would not consider what he did "hassling" the seller at all. A buyer has every right to contact the seller if something is not right about the item they purchased, especially if it is not pointed out or pictured in the listing. I don't care if it's a manufacturer defect or not. And most sellers are happy to come to some sort of agreement to rectify a situation such as that. Sounds like you wouldn't though lol.

There's someone on e-bay with a bunch of wave 11 in Queensland (only selling as the whole wave of 4). A bit more expensive than Toyworld's prices, but I don't expect Toyworld to have wave 11 for a few months yet, seeing as they only just got wave 10 in. I'm giving it a go - they're still cheaper than over 50% of my Origins purchases

Thanks for sharing this. It's very reasonable imo. I cancelled my order with Entertainment Earth because their shipping is too expensive.

Marion Big W has restocked the Pig Head wave, at least three of each figure from the wave on the pegs.

The 200X He-Man wave has been popping up in both Big Ws and Toyworlds in Victoria during the last couple weeks.

Whilst Big W carry the international release Toyworld has the U.S. release:

Ground Ripper & Mekanek can now be purchased from Amazon US via Amazon AU, and for a pretty good price, too (and is above the free postage threshold).

Toy Empire has Thunder Punch He-Man in stock right now. Postage is a killer; $15 minimum, unless you can find something else to buy to get over the $100 threshold for free postage. King Hiss and Ground Ripper, which were due at the same time and which I hoped to use to get over that threshold, have been pushed back to April.

Thunder Punch He-Man is also available on Amazon AU (from Amazon US), but is one of those "usually ships within 2 weeks" items, so I decided against it this time. $45 and maybe never being actually in stock is not a good deal to me; not when I can get it from within the country for only $20 more.

Thanks for these updates. Wave 13 is still doing the rounds around the country. I think I'd pee myself if I saw them in the wild at Big W or Toy world.

As would I, but as yet they've not come here. I did have hopes, given that wave 13 was first sighted in Melbourne this time instead of in Qld, but alas my Big W is as bare as ever.

Mind you, that Ground Ripper is my second go at the thing. I bought one from a USian Amazon seller at the start of February, and the bloody thing vanished the instant it was collected by whatever outfit of cowboys they decided to use in place of an actual postal service (that's all the tracking ever said - "collected by courier" - and tracking outside Amazon was never even updated to show that much). I have a little more confidence in Amazon US itself, but even there you can't make them use a reputable service (or even simply USPS) instead of whatever this week's cheapest (and dogiest) bidder is...

I got my money back (I never even asked for it - I just enquired if they could follow up with their chosen courier given that the tracking hadn't progressed in several weeks, and they instantly issued a refund), but this is why I hate ordering things from the US.

Tempting. If I had more space, I'd get another!
