I really, read: really hope that Super 7 doesn't half-bake this line. It requires unique tooling throughout. (Just think about all of the protagonists... they are very abnormal in comparison to a "human" body type...)

And if they pull a stunt with the Silverhawks wings like they did with the Sorceress's??? Oh! There will be war!
I 100% guarantee they will be in the same style as motu and thunder cats so they all “fit into the same ultimate family”.

Just like tcats and tmnt, I assume they won’t have issues with unique tooling for the villains.

    As for wish list:

All core hawks of course: Stargazer, Quicksilver, Steelwill and Steelheart, Bluegrass, Copper Kid - then add Hotwing, Flashback, Moonstryker, and Condor. I'd want them all with mask accessories.

Baddies: Mon*star (both transformed and untransformed versions), Buzzsaw, Molecular, Windhammer, Hardware, Mumbo Jumbo.... Then we have to get Yess-man, Poker-Face, and Melodia.

Everything else would just be pure candy on top, there are so many secondary characters. Even the "cab driver".... wasn't his name Seymour?

Such a great time to be a collector of these properties!

I look at it this way: if there are 1,700,000 people who cared enough to make a page or mention Silverhawks out there, then that is just a cross section of people who know, remember, and enjoy the property. For every page that mentions Silverhawks, I guess you have to think that it represents a multitude of others... in this case, I think that makes for enough interest in a line of action figures. I'm glad to know its confirmed and that we are getting Ultimates to boot!

(In case anyone hasn't noticed.... I'm ecstatic. )

General question about Super7 - I've seen mention of Reaction and Ultimates figures. What does that mean?

Ultimates are 7" with multiple points of articulation.
ReAction are 3.75" with 5 points of articulation like vintage Star Wars figures etc.

Well first of all I'm super excited about these figures! It'll be the first time in a long time where I'm going to want probably ever figure and piece they put out. I was lucky as a kid in that we got all the cartoons and almost all the toys (people said they saw Hardware in the stores but no one ever had him )

I can't even put my finger on why my cousins, friends, and brothers all loved this line so much. But we played Silverhawks second only to He-man growing up.

Thanks for the clarification. I also hope that they're Ultimates.

I don't remember Silverhawks that well, but I know I liked it as a kid and had some of the toys. I'd definitely like to see it make some sort of return, but would probably be more interested in a cartoon.

Brian Flynn has confirmed we're getting both Ultimates and ReAction figures. Ultimates are coming first, with a pre-order going up in 2-3 months.

Definitely pleased about this, I'd get all the villains to put with my Thundercats ultimates (when they come). I hope we get both versions of Mon Star.
MOTU Origins Wishlist: Oo-Larr, Karg, Lady Slither, Fang-Or, Goat-Man, Movie He-Man & Skeletor, Hawke, Slamurai, Shadow Weaver, Lodar, Snake Face, Geldor, Lord Gr'Asp, Strobo

So who does everyone think we'll get in the first wave of Ultimates? Here are my guesses:

    1. Quicksilver. I feel like he's a shoe-in, being the leader.
    2. Hotwing. I think we'll get two 'Hawks in the first wave, but the second one will be from later in the series. Hotwing would be the Pumyra of this wave.
    3. Mon*Star in his de-powered form. Like mummified Mumm-Ra, this gives us the main villain without actually giving us the main villain.
    4. Mumbo Jumbo. There are a lot of characters to choose for the second villain spot, but I think Mumbo Jumbo would allow Super7 to reuse several existing parts, saving on costs.

Personally, I would rather see Super7 focus on only the most deserving characters first, front-loading the line with the heavy hitters in case the fan base cannot support a deep line. My personal wish list for a first wave would be Quicksilver, Steelheart, Mon*Star (either version, but I actually prefer the design of his de-powered self), and either Yes-Man or Hardware.

I was with you right up until here. Mumbo Jumbo was my favorite character and I'd hate to see him not either:
    A. Have some sort of "growth" feature
    or
    B. (more preferably) Be an oversized figure. I'm not sure what parts you're thinking of that would be easily reused? But I may be thinking too much in the way of the classic figures instead of updated pieces.

You're right, he probably should be an oversized figure. In my mind's eye, I was picturing the vintage figure, which had very similar arms and legs to a vintage MOTU figure, which made me jump to the idea of parts reuse.

Oh OK that makes sense. Well, I'm personally hoping for an oversized figure. But I imagine I'll be happy as long as it's a fairly accurate representation.

Funny you say this as I used Mumbo Jumbo (and Slithe from Thundercats) as "new" villains when playing with my old MOTU figures.

I honestly have NO idea what they'll do for the first wave, but I like your list... Hotwing is my favorite so I'd naturally want him right away, but I feel like he was a "later character" wasn't he? I think we will definitely see Quicksilver first, along with maybe Copper Kid or Commander Stargazer. I also agree that we will probably see Mon*Star in regular form... I'd even venture to say that we might see Buzz-Saw before Mumbo Jumbo. It's all speculation on my part and, honestly, give me whoever, whenever! I knew we'd get these eventually and I just can't believe it's finally time. Excitement abounds!

My only request right here would be to have, a big, shiny and of course, ultra-articulated Sky-Runner ... with a tail this time !
If apprehended with a good dose of creativity, this thing could be mind-blowing.

I'm not a vehicle or playset guy at all (the Thundertank does nothing for me) but a sky-Runner at that scale would be truly amazing and something i would have to have despite the cost.

I'm the opposite when it comes to certain lines with this line being no exception. I want a Skyrunner, Seymour's taxi, and the Mirage is a given I'd assume. If they were going to make any vehicles this would have to be the top one.

But I also want the giant birds and SkyShadow

Wishful thinking probably but I'll hold on to hope.

I wouldn't say no to Bluegrass being included in wave 1.

He was always a favorite of mine (he was the first Silverhawk figure I got, given to me by my older bro)...

I would also love, LOVE a Mon-Star / Sky-runner box set! With articulated tentacles!!

I wonder if there will be issues with Quicksilver's name. Will they have to change it or will they be able to get away with "Silverhawk's Quicksilver" or something like "Commander Quicksilver" on the box?

With you on Bluegrass. He was the only Silverhawk I ever purchased. Always had a thing for cowboy-themed figures plus I live in "The Bluegrass State"...

I don't think so... I don't believe there has been an issue in the past, and the word "quicksilver" dates back centuries before the Marvel character appeared.

Like I believe originally "Hulk Hogan" was fine for Terry Bollea to use, but when announcers started unofficially calling him "The Incredible Hulk Hogan", it turned into a legal issue.

But I suppose just the potential fear of a much bigger company's wrath might be reason enough for them to do something...

There wasn't an issue in the past but things are a lot different nowadays with the Marvel IP than in 1986. So anythings possible.
