It's a bit off. It should match his skin tone.

I honestly can't wait to see what they do with Flashback.

I thought all the figures had 2 birds. one if attack/weapon mode and 1 in bird mode but it looks like stargazer, molecular and others only have 1.

I've seen images where the upper part of his leg is the same as his skin color, but on the vintage figure it's metallic gold like the armor. So I have no idea what is "correct" lol.

Well in the cartoon it is like the figure, if I remember correctly, but the model sheet shows it as exposed skin. This discrepancy was probably an animation error by the studio?

He did make appearances in the show as indicated in the model sheets. Don't know what they could do other than include an alternate leg. Might be a cool option but I understand them using the model sheet and representative cartoon apprearances to choose between inconsistencies.

Yes, Hot wing was intended to have a human leg. It was changed to gold, the show has it gold and the figure is gold. It was later changed back to human. While both are correct, the gold leg was the original run of Hotwing.

This is a pick your poison case…. Usually people prefer the original look to characters. To each his own in this case. I’d love a swappable leg instead of 30 of the same hand they usually include.

As for the current selection, I think a transformed Mumbo-Jumbo does have great chances
to be slotted later on the road: Crazy gaze, bigger shape, red stone on the forehead ... Most iconic figures get remade for much less than that.

If that's the case I wish they'd do him first. He's my favorite character in the line and I have no desire to own the figure they're showing us right now.

IMO when you look at the design of the left arm transitioning from "flame" to skin, the leg being exposed skin as well makes perfect sense.

That was my hope. I was counting on him being an oversized figure. He's undersized at a standard 7 inches.

Makes sense. It's not a property that's very deep with characters, so they'll try to squeeze every last bit out of it that they can, especially since they own it outright now.

Pretty sure it was just like "Battle Armor He-Man" and others along those lines... just a variant. Who knows where the line would have gone had it persisted, but, for the time period and technology, I'm not sure what else they could have done. I have all of the original line EXCEPT for the sonic suits... No desire to own them, either. That was a great little line... I really love those figures and I look at them almost daily. Lots of fun!
