Super7 SilverHawks Figures - CONFIRMED

Saw these figures in person in a local collector store yesterday, and they looked quite good, so I think I'm going to pull the trigger on this line. Makes me wonder where the store got them however because they're selling them for the same price as Super7 or BBTS online - how can they make a profit??

They're available to retailers through Entertainment Earth's distribution wing or Diamond Distribution.

Super7 sells to those distributors at an unknown price and then distributors give roughly 10% off to stores.

Entertainment Earth getting these at distributor wholesale is likely why they're able to do such deep clearances.

This past 4th of July was a 20% discount if you'd purchased 4 In Stock items at Super 7 site and even when there were TC, TMNT, TF & G.I.Joe Ultimates figures, there was nothing from Silverhawks.

Does Super 7 still has the license? I heard there were some issues recently with Warner Bros, but I'd like them to at least release 2 more waves and include Copper Kid

Nothing after Wave 3 has been officially announced... however, there was mention of Wave 4 possibly being Copper Kidd and his Space Racer.

That's what was leading me to speculate that Melodia, Hardware, Flashback, and Moon Stryker might be the next full wave.

He said the initial plan was to reveal it in June, but he felt that between Thundercats Wave 9 and the Cat's Lair that revealing the 4th wave of Silverhawks was simply too much within a short time frame.

For those who don't want to listen to that entire interview, it sounds like Wave 4 will have something unexpected in it. He said something like, "for those who thought Buzz-Saw was big, they're going to be floored by Wave 4." Or something along those lines.

Wave 5 is apparently Copper Kidd, his bike (packaged separately), and only one other character. So two figures and a vehicle for Wave 5.

I look forward to adding Dull Brown Kidd to my shelves next year.

If wave 4 is going to have an oversized figure, there are some possibilities...

I think that an enraged Mumbo-Jumbo is the most likely, but it could also be Smiley (he's pretty big) or any of the Outlaws... possibly Rhino? (These are some deep cuts though...)

Another likely possibility is Bounty Hunter.

I went to a local Toy Fair this past weekend and I must say that Silverhawks were a hot sought item and many re-sellers sold out their figures. Have in consideration that here Ultimates figures are sold with a price tag that goes from $90 to $150 usd. I particularly always prefer to purchase my figures from BBTS

I really sensed they were going to sit on Copper Kid, but I hoped they wouldn't after holding back Wily Kit and Wily Cat for dead last with Thundercats. I hope he's offered next on his own like Mandora and her bike rather than held off until even secondary Silverhawks get made. If they needed to hold back one of the original main hawks, Bluegrass could've waited until they were ready to offer a crowdfunded Mirage (which I'm guessing is at least a year or more out if they're doing Cat's Lair soonish, but at the rate they're going that's about when more hawks might get offered anyway).

Maybe not a popular opinion but I really hope they consider doing Sky-Runner before they do the Mirage. Seems like it would be easier to do and IMO it would pose better as well.

I personally have zero interest in any SilverHawks vehicles (or playsets for that matter). Bring on the figures, but no thanks to any larger releases. My collection room is tight enough with Castle Grayskull, Snake Mountain, and next Cats Lair.

Yeah, there's no way a line that niche can support any vehicles when even far more popular properties struggle to do so.

Bluegrass is my favorite 'Hawk, and holding him hostage like that - especially as part of a crowdfund - would have killed my interest from square one.

It would have made me rather bitter, lol...

However, if they want to offer Bluegrass in his Ultrasonic Suit (from the vintage wave) as part of the crowdfunder, I'd LOVE that!!

Agreed. It's an essential piece to Silverhawks. While being a vehicle and not a HQ, I would still say the Miraj is to Silverhawks what Castle Grayskull is to MOTU.
