Yes! I received my Flash and Ming a little while ago and forgot to post!
If people are interested, I was just at my local Target and they had gobs of them!
I absolutely LOVE the retro-presentation of these figures... I decided to buy another set to keep MOC because they look so good! (And man, these cards are durable as heck! -and BIG!)
It made go back and rewatch season one of the Filmation series... so much goodness there!![]()

So, I have been fooling around with these Ming and Flash figures for awhile now, and I have to say that this is some of the best QC I've ever seen from Neca.
They have been getting progressively better with every new release (I haven't had any issue within the past few years), but I know a lot of people had problems with the initial batch of the Defenders of the Earth figures...
Well, I can most definitely say that Neca has really perfected this "superhero" buck and mine are sturdy, well-painted, and tight with a great range of motion!
I really hope that Neca can continue to get more obscure comic-type licenses in the near future!!

Just got the Mattel-homage Flash and Ming. Didnt realize the cards were going to be so thick. That's great for MOC collectors.
I wonder how likely it is that Neca will make some of the other characters? I can see them using the Goliath and Demona bucks for Thun and Lizard Woman.
I would kill for an entire homage set!
Thun, Arak, and Lizard Woman could reuse a lot of parts... Neca would have to create a new body for Vultan and Zarkov, but they've almost got that base covered too because Gargoyles Hudson is almost just like Vultan!
I wouldn't say no to an exclusive Dale Arden and Princess Aura either!

More DOTE NECA news. GARAX!

It would still be cool if NECA could do Jedda, Rick, LJ, Kshin and maybe some Men of Frost and Ice Robots.
Even some variants like how they appeared in the "Roots Of Evil" episode.

All excellent choices, especially N'Dama the Weather Demon/Kurt Walker. I actually still have the story book of A House Devided I got at the school book fair when I was about 6 or 7 years old.
A few days ago I seen some of the episode Family Reunion and was thinking how cool a figure of N'Dama would be on the NECA buck.
Astra and Krotan would definitely make very cool figures.
A Jedda in the Phantom costume would also be quite cool.
Probably unlikely but a Mongor like the vintage toy would be really nice.
I saw about 10 Phantoms at Walmart today. Don't have a clue why there was no other characters but there was 4 pegs full of the Phantom in the electronics area.
If they could make only 1 more bad guy it should be the demon from possibly the best episode ever , written by Chuck Lorre : "A demon in my pocket" , hes a must !
Don't you have better thing to do than read this stupid signature
Tony Clifton : Kaufman was a hack....hack sack pack nack !

I got Phantom, but was a bit disappointed in him... switched him out with the new 'original heroes' line... but Mandrake is one I want bad. Sucks BBTS doesn't have a solo of him on preorder... just the 3 pack.
On a separate note... what is the Lore behind Lothar? I know the old school heroes of Phantom, Flash and a bit of Mandrake... but Lothar was always a wild card I never heard of before DoE...
Lothar is from Mandrake's comic strip.
In the comic strip, he was Mandrake's best friend, traveling companion and ally in crimefighting. He's a Prince of a tribal confederation in Africa and is reputed to be the strongest man in the world (allegedly his biggest feat of strenght was lifting an elephant, but he performed many feats of strength in the comics). In the comics he's also highly resistant to injury and to magic, which makes him a great aide for Mandrake. He began as a much more stereotyped character in Mandrake's debut in 1934. At first he was strictly a sidekick. He spoke broken English, was stronger than he was smart, and was always drawn in leopard skins and wearing a fez. He served as muscle for Mandrake and to also complicate matters (as sidekicks do in adventure strips).
After Mandrake's second artist - Fred Fredericks - took over in 1965, Lothar was revamped. He spoke normal English and wore more typical 60s clothes (favoring leopard print shirts as a sole nod to his old self) and was treated as more of a full partner in adventure for Mandrake. Lothar was one of two main support characters for Mandrake in the strips (the other being Princess Narda, Mandrake's love interest). That said, like many strips, there are many re-occurring characters that helped or went against Mandrake but none to the same level as Lothar.
