    Hello everyone!

Just a small introduction of myself. I was born in 1975 and grew up with many of the iconic toys we all remember and love (Star Wars, MOTU, Transformers, GI Joe, etc). MOTU has always been especially close to my heart and I never forgot about the memories surrounding the toys and the cartoon.

My first figure ever was Skeletor. After much begging my Mom purchased him for me and I was instantly in love. I carried him everywhere.

My mom liked to walk almost every day to the post office in town and she would take me with her each time. It was a long walk but I didn't mind. I took Skeletor with me right after I got him and somewhere along the walk I lost his sword! It was a disaster. I couldn't find it and checked on our walks for over a week. And, then, one day (about two weeks later) I found it! On the ground by a bush completely discolored from the elements. It was no longer the purple-ish color. It was now grey-ish. I didn't care. I was so happy to get it back into his hands.

Christmas brought me Castle Grayskull and my brother got Snake Mountain. I loved them both! I think I ended up coercing him into trading to it me for something

Over the years I purchasing everything. All of the vehicles, every figure. I think what I loved about these action figures the most were all of the cool gimmicks. Filling Kobra Khan with water and spraying the deadly mist. Watching the gears move in Roboto. The blood oozing in Mosquitor's chest. So cool.

Years went on and my gears shifted in life. I have no idea where all of my toys went. I can only assume my parents gave them away, sold them or more than likely threw them away.

Fast forward to now. I recently found these MOTU Origins figures have been released from Mattel on a recent Target trip. Wow, they look (to me) like my old toys. I purchased Skeletor, He-Man and Battle Cat. These are just great! Much more articulated of course and the twist punch is gone, but, most importantly to me is that the legs are no longer held on by a rubber band. While I have great memories with my figures I have some not so great memories of those bands stretching out or even worse breaking. This new design appears to resolve that entirely.

I have now pre-ordered all of them from BBTS as well as the upcoming vehicles and the new Castle Grayskull. I even went as far as to obtain the 2019 SDCC set and the 5-pack Power-Con set. Yeah, pricey...but I plan on completing this set. With this new line I am starting my collection once again just like I did over 35 years ago!

Great to find a website dedicated to the Power!

Indeed, not to mention something costly

But I only plan on (at least for now) focusing on the Origins line which for the most part are very inexpensive...if you can get them at around normal MSRP that is. So, these two items will be the "grails" of this collection for me.

    Thanks for the welcome!
