    NECA Gargoyles

NECA have just announced they have got the licence from Disney to produce 7" Gargoyles action figures.
    Goliath looks amazing.

Wow, so many properties getting modern toy lines. Don't have enough money or space. Gonna stick with Joe Classifieds and Transformers.

I am just going to have to pick the different figures I like. So many great figures available.

Yeah I'm also doing Joe Classifieds and Transformers, although my Transformers collection is almost complete for me. I just got the War of Cybertron Omega Supreme and am extremely pleased. I am also cherry-picking MotU Origins and waiting to see what Masterverse looks like.

So much great figures out now I can't do it all.

Can we see a Thailog soon? It would sense for him to be some kind of exclusive...

    That would be really cool.

Xanatos in his armour should look amazing.

Very interesting, especially if they have a good looking Lexington. I can see him getting Alex as an accessory.

Wonder if they'll do some of the other clans. Would love to see Coco and Amp from the English Clan. Maybe even Puck and Oberon.

Edit: The jalapeno accessory is also a nice touch.

Has NECA gotten better about 'finishing' off lines?

Same. I love Gargoyles and these figures look great.

I have no interest in collecting this line.

My toy budget is maxed and I'm already out of space. Between Super 7 TMNT, Thundercats (I cherry pick), Disney Ultimates (cherry picking) and their upcoming Silverhawks and Godzilla figures (tentatively), the odd Marvel Legends figures, the Neca Horror and Predator figures, and the Creative Beasts Dinosaurs, I don't have room for anything.

Plus, since it's Gargoyles I'm sure the wings are going to take up a lot of shelf space.

I won't rule out the odd figure here or there (Macbeth?!), but I'm happy for the fans who are going all in. This should be their dream line.

This is great news! My prayers have been answered!!

I expected these to fall under S7's Disney line but this is even better. Gargoyles gets it's own line. The fact that these are not exclusives is OUTSTANDING!!!!!!

It says they have 5 figures completed already so I'll guess:
    Goliath
    Hudson
    Brooklyn
    Lexington
    Broadway

That leaves Eliza, Bronx, Xanatos, Demona, and Macbeth...and I guess Angela too, to just round out the absolute core characters. I'd buy figures I think of almost anybody from this series...even Dracon.

16” wide, according to the listing. Yikes. I need a skyscraper/castle to display them on.

That NECA city scene diorama is going to come in handy again.

Wow! That would be an awesome display for these. I need to try and get myself one, if I can. Or get in the zone and build one for myself.

Not a bad idea. I have that also but that's too ionic to GB. In my twisted mind it would throw off my entire display.

Must admit, this does look cool. With Disney remaking everything under the sun in live-action nowadays, I'm very surprised they haven't touched Gargoyles yet. That's one live-action reboot I'd definitely be in favour of.

    Sounds good.

I am in the slow process of designing and building a castle ruins diorama.

It's a pity they couldn't figure out a way to wrap his wings around his shoulders like a cape. Would make the book reading pose look better

I was surprised that Disney wasn't doing anything with the Gargoyles about 10 years ago. Super hero movies were really taking off and Gargoyles is clearly a part of genre. The Twilight movies only had a couple more entries and had been good money makers; Gargoyles did set up a relationship between Goliath and Elisa Maza -- a targeted add campaign could have snagged a good portion of the Twilight for Disney for however many Gargoyles movies could have been made.

I don't think Disney ever really knew what to do with Gargoyles. It was like Black Cauldron, a good show, but not exactly in their wheelhouse. And yet they cranked up the licensing fee so much SLG Comics had to cut their run at 8 issues.

Of course given the Gargoyles did have a run in Marvel before, maybe it would be a good time to re-introduce them to the Marvel Universe.

Wonder if this toy revival has anything to do with Demona being added as a new character to Disney Heroes.

This looks so awesome, but I really don't need to collect another toyline. Then again, I can't find any MotU Origins figures in my area...

A "caped" set of wings would be cool, but the lack of them isn't a deal-breaker. I think most people would pose them with dynamic outspread wings even if they had the other option.

Given the choice, the open wings are the better option, but the closed wings do offer additional posing, especially with the book accessory Goliath comes with. It would also help the four legged running position too. Not a deal breaker for me either, but something that might be interesting down the line somewhere

As far as the wings goes, I'd rather have a swappable set of folded wings instead of articulated wings. Winged figures rarely work and/or look good. Most are so heavy they just fall down due to their weight. Now that I think about it, I hope the wings have ratchets where they connect to the back so they can hold poses.

Yeah. Once Disney decided to actually get involved with the show, they fired Weisman and the quality of the show tanked. I honestly think they tried to bury the show since it didn't really fit into their typical formula. For years there was no merchandise at all until Disney started to sell that one T-shirt at their parks. That one shirt instantly sold out every time it came back into stock.
