Skeletor Shogun Warriors figure coming from Mattel Creations

    From Mattel:

To celebrate our passion for our legendary brand, Shogun Warriors, we resurrected the nearly two-foot-tall chassis from our favorite giant fighting mechs of the '80s and combined it with the most-evil, yet beloved Masters villain of Eternia.

Get ready for this behemoth resident of Snake Mountain. This killer collectable and apparel will drop April 23rd at 9am PST on Mattel Creations.

Kotaku reports the price will be $300.00 each.

Ngl, this could be really cool

Hmmmm. Interesting. My biggest concern is the price with these Mattel Creations things.

What does Super 7 charge for something like this? I understand to can be a lot... But a Skeletor mech with rocket fists does sound tempting.

$350, for Optimus Prime, so if I had to guess, this will probably be in the $200 range since Super7's generally more expensive than the big companies

Honestly, I might go for this. Skeletor's vain enough to have a mech of himself

A decent sized shogun warrior figure is going to be hard to pass up on.

Oof, pass, unless I can find a good job before it is sold out.

Gee, after Madsaki, I couldn't wait to see where Mattel took this bot exclusive.

Pics are starting to emerge...It stands nearly two feet tall, so I will not be surprised if this thing is in the $300 - $400 range.

That's bizarre and stupid enough that I'd like to have one, but yeah, I can't see it being in a price range I would find agreeable.

I just don't know about Mattel Creations... it would be a fun thing to see in a store and maybe pick up for like twenty bucks... but, let's be real. This thing is probably going to be a few hundred.
Clearing out Classics, Super7 and vintage MOTU & PoP figures... check out my threads in the Marketplace for Fisto, Sorceress, BA variants, SDCC exclusives and more!

Ngl, that's really cool. If it's $100-$200, I could see myself going for it and using it as a centerpiece for my display with Skeletor like riding on its shoulder.

Also, note the brand name. I think we're going to see this become a series (also, a few days ago, they asked people what they would want to see as Shogun Warriors). Although, I doubt I'd buy any other MOTU characters in this style since Skeletor's the only character narcissistic enough to want something like this.

It's cool. It's kind of stealing the idea of what Super 7 does but hey whatever.

It'll likely be more than what I would want to pay for it, especially without any warning it is coming PLUS Powercon exclusives dropping soon.

I wouldn’t necessarily say they are stealing the idea from Super 7 when Mattel made and sold some of the original Shogun Warrior toys in the US in the 70s, I get that super 7 has been making other shogun properties robots but this makes sense for Mattel - the 70s were awesome robots and this looks great, hopefully I can get 1.

You could get some great shogun warriors from masters- Fisto, buzzsaw Hordak, mekaneck, king hiss, extendar

Super7 “stole” the idea from Mattel who licensed the originals from Bandai. It all comes full circle.

I like weird one off things but for $300 I could never justify something of this nature.

    Nope, I can't do $300.

$200 would be stretching it, but $300 is unreasonable.

Skeletor will have to do without a mech of himself.

To anyone on here who picked up the Mattel Creations clear Skeletor: Did you have to pay upfront?
$300 is pretty outrageous. Erstwhile, imaginext megazord and batman robot thing are just as big, more feature rich, have licensing fees, and retailed for $60. Must be that fancy box.
