WOW! That's absolutely amazing. Thanks for sharing. What an incredible role model for young women, provided it's all natural, which I pray it is. If it isn't then she's one helluva advertisement for creatine.

    Who do I crush on?

Whatever poor lass ends up under me when I don't pay attention to my surroundings when rolling over. Alas I am not as lithe as I user to be and now I am liable to crush folks..

Starz had a marathon of Spartacus: Blood and Sand the other day. My wife's always been a big fan since it first aired but we haven't seen it in a while.

There's no shortage of gorgeous (and naked!) women on that show - including Lucy Lawless, who's held up quite well in her post-Xena years - but I'd forgotten just how drop-dead gorgeous Katrina Law (Mira) is. Like yeah, there's "the obvious", but even aside from that she just has a really beautiful face. Every time she's onscreen I'm bowled over.

Side note about Lucy Lawless; my wife's always been a huge Xena fan. I'd always heard a rumor that back during her peak years of popularity, Playboy gave her an offer but she turned them down. I can't help but wonder why that is, considering some of the stuff she ended up doing on Spartacus, some of which goes way beyond merely being naked. Could be the gig paid more than whatever she got offered in the '90s, or maybe her personal boundaries changed. I wouldn't mind asking her about it, if there were a way to do so that wouldn't come off as creepy.

Also Spartacus is actually a really good show. I recommend it.

You mentioned all the gorgeous gals on the show, but not the incredibly buff guys. I know it's good story line, but I'm pretty sure all those well defined biceps and pecs are a factor in why it has a large female following...not that there's anything wrong with that.

I apologize for being straight and therefore not immediately inclined to comment on all the buff, mostly-naked (or fully-naked) guys. But yes, that show is very "equal-opportunity" when it comes to eye candy. "Whatever your pleasure", as it were, Spartacus has you covered.

But yes, my wife saw it before I did, and suffice to say she was completely over the moon at all the bodybuilders in loincloths and uncensored penis shots. "There's even gay guys _____ing! It's awesome!" I confess that I wasn't even gonna watch it until she assured me there were just as many naked women in it. Again, "Not that there's anything wrong with that" but the way she immediately put it over to me, it kinda sounded like gay porn.

Turns out it's a really good show aside from all that stuff. Go figure.

What did (and does) tickle me a bit, though, is that while Spartacus DOES have a huge female fanbase, most of the women I know personally who watched it - my wife included - tend to look down on "actual" pornography. But honestly, that show is about as close as it gets, to the point where I've been inclined to ask some of those women, "Honestly, WHAT is the difference?" Especially if the viewer is watching it for the more salacious aspects of it, as many are/were. I can't say I've ever gotten a GOOD answer; just variations of "It's just different!" But if a person is admittedly watching it looking forward to the gratuitous sex and nudity, and such scenes are only like half a step more "tasteful" than what "real" porn actually shows... why the shade at actual pornography? Again, nobody I've asked has ever given a satisfactory answer. ((Shrug))

I don't know. It's a very good show. But if you cut out the "almost porn" bits then it's like a half hour long. Remove the over-the-top violence and all the CGI blood and it's like 20 minutes. But hey, you'll get no complaints outta ME, I'm just sayin'.

Well, I'm confident enough in my masculinity that I can acknowledge a guy is buff while still being straight.

My point was not that you didn't "immediately" comment on the guys, just that you went on and on about the women without ever commenting on the 800 pound buff gorilla in the room, which seems a bit of overcompensation to me.

In my own defense, my wife thinks it's funny to say "What're you, gay now?" if ever I do comment on such things. So I'm admittedly conditioned to not comment on such things.

It's not funny, I don't think. But she thinks it is. ((shrug))

For crushing on I'll limit it to ladies from when I was younger

Teri Hatcher from her Lois and Clark days
    Madonna circa Body of Evidence
    Beverly Crusher on TNG

For some reason I'm blanking.. there were plenty of women that I desired, but I'm trying to highlight the extra strong desires as opposed to listing 400 women. But I just can't recall the ones that I felt more strongly drawn to... perhaps tomorrow

If we're talking Spartacus males, I don't think that anyone can surpass Oenomaeus. Peter Mensah could qualify as a work fine art - i honestly don't know why he's not a more prominent star as he's a very talented actor.

    - Mah GAHD, Teri Hatcher on Lois & Clark. Luckily for me, right when that show hit it big a bunch of movie channels like Showtime and Cinemax started running a bunch of movies she'd gotten naked in right before they hired her to do that show. Suffice to say, I stayed up late a LOT in 1993 and 1994. One of 'em had Cool Surface on every night for like two weeks, it was awesome. Not the movie, the movie was kinda stupid. Just... y'know, PARTS of the movie were awesome.

    - For me, no version of Madonna does it for me quite like "Cherish" Video Madonna. But you really can't go wrong with any Vintage Madonna. And I did buy Body of Evidence on DVD, even though... well... it ain't very good. But let's be real, nobody ever watched that movie for any reason except for Madonna Boob, anyways.

    - I was never a huge Star Trek fan, but I did watch all the movies in a row a little over a year ago, including the Next generation ones. Crusher was a VERY nice surprise. A bunch of my friends are Trek fans, and I legit raged at them for never telling me about her. "I might've actually watched that show! You idiots dropped the ball! How DARE you not smarten me up about Crusher?!"

I could write a list a mile long, myself, but I don't want to dominate the conversation and it's fun to see what other people think.

As for the guys on Spartacus, my wife seems mostly partial to Crixus or whatever the guy Manu Bennet played was called. BUT, she also likes to go on about The One Guy from Season 1. You know the one. The guy who got castrated and crucified at the end of the episode. She's all "How DARE they cut that off?! It was gorgeous!"

My wife, God bless her, has no filter. One of many things we have in common.

Oh I know who you mean quite well - before you even said crucified I was thinking, "he's leading to the horse fellow " haha

For the females on that show, Katrina Law is pretty high on my list.. going from memory, my favorite lady may have been the friend of Lucy Lawless - the British lady who was in Dexter and wore the red wig in season 2... oh ya, and u really loved lady glaber and Navia v1..

In later seasons, one of the blonde German ladies stuck out, as did the final lady that ended up with double sword guy who was freed after the Capua royal rumble in season 2 (I'm blanking so bad haha)

This is a bloody hard show to pick favorites .. too many good choices

Yeah, Classic Coke Naevia was way better-looking than New Coke Naevia, for sure.

You mean Viva Bianca/Ilithyia? Yeah, she was pretty nice, too. When they had the scene with her character and Spartacus "trysting" while wearing masks, I was like "Hmm... kinda don't think that's really her" and thought maybe the actress just didn't want to do nudity, and the mask plot was a way to use a stunt double for the nude scenes. BUT, then she got naked like one or two episodes later and it clearly WAS her, and I was like "WOW, alright, she's got more goin' on than I thought."

I vaguely remember the German blonde as well, but I haven't seen the later Seasons as much as I've seen Season 1, and not recently, so I'm blanking too. I think I know which one you mean but I'd have to see her again.

Pretty much all the women on Spartacus were either great-looking, or REALLY great-looking.

And I guess a lot of the guys were, too, but I'm not the one you'd have to ask about that. JUST sayin'.

    Yup, Viva Bianca.

Perhaps ironically with Naevia, i find the v2 actress stunning in the Arrowverse, but not as much in Spartacus. It might have to do with her hair styles.

Funny thing I just realized about Jaime Murray (the lady from season 2, i looked her up) and Katrina Law is that the both played Nyssa Al Ghul, but the former was in Gotham and the latter was in the Arrowverse

    Huh. That is pretty funny/strange/neat/misc.

And yeah, sometimes I'll be All About Someone in one thing, but in another thing they're not all that great for one reason or other. Clothes, hair, what have you.

Ah, here's a random crush that just popped into my head for no reason whatsoever: Geena Davis in Earth Girls Are Easy. I've liked her in a lot of things, but MOST of those things don't involve her in a tiny little bikini. So that one gets Major Points. Julie Brown wasn't bad in that, either.

Reading the last few comments, in all fairness I guess we could sprinkle in some man-crushes into this thread.

I bring forth Tom Ellis for me...

All's fair! I mean I figured we'd have some women and/or gay folks jumping in (OR simply those guys who are super-secure in themselves ), so far be it from me to stifle any sort of conversation. People can talk about whoever they want. Go nuts!

Well this will be a little strange. I had a crush on a manga character when I was a little boy.

    edit: More Pic

I gotta say, right now I'm more of crying reliving the memories than feeling of a crush. feels great to revisit those glory days.

Whew, we might be here a while if we also go into cartoon crushes.

I'll say my main one since childhood was Baroness.
